This is a beautiful and large Heisey plate with graceful and elegant sterling silver overlay in both concentric circles and flowing fronds. This piece has a very 50's feel to me; although I've not been able to locate the pattern or date it.This plate is 12" diameter with a maximum depth of 2". As shown in the last pic, the silver reflects whatever you place on it; great display piece! Condition is good: some minor loss to the silver. The bottom is cut glass, and the Heisey mark, the diamond surrounding an H, rests in center. Condition is good. No significant flaws; just minor signs of wear to the silver. «Less

Exquisitely hand carved walnut panel from the 1800's. The Renaissance styling includes a scrolling floral foliate motif, on a finely textured ground, with a shield and fleur de lis, fabulous! I particularly love the two massive blossoms at the top of the panel. Condition is excellent. These very rare, now impossible for me to get (I grabbed up every single one I could find!), were used in chateaux wall paneling and as parts of fine furniture. Dimensions: 21" high, 14.5" wide, with a total depth of approximately 3/4". It's ready to hang in your chateau. I've got one on a library wall, and it lends incomparable depth and beauty to the entire room.

Fine antique micro mosaic brooch circa early-mid 1800's depicting the Tomb of Cecilia Metella; a 1st Century BC ruin. The center mosaic is set in black glass and encircled by a ring of flowers, with leaves and berries, tied with a red ribbon. The flowers are also tiny micro mosaics! The tesserae are very tiny, and the piece is a fine work of art! Condition is good; there is a hairline crack shown in the pictures, and 1 or 2 tiny tesserae seem to have been lost abutting the crack. The pin is very stable, set in bronze with a 14k gold casing. Comes with a box, not original or from the same period; but will serve to store the brooch safely. «Less

Fabulous antique French box decorated elaborately with pique, pearl borders, enamel cabochons and a fine enamel cartouche, a portrait medallion. The interior of the box is lined with wood; for cigarettes, tobacco? It's large, 5" long, so I think it is not a snuff box. The bronze dore body is machine decorated. Condition is good; the inside clasp is broken. There are some minor losses to enamel and pique. The box is not signed, other than marked "Made in France" on the bottom. The work is fine quality, including of course, the pearls lining the top. So it is likely of sevres or Limoges manufacture. Circa late 1800's. «Less

Good antique French porcelain box shaped like a violin. The white ground decorated with lavender on the outside, graced with floral and foliate enamel, gilt lamberkins and raised blue enamel 'beads'. The fittings are bronze dore. And the inside also painted with floral accents. Condition is good. The top of the box is loose, the glue having dried out. Due to the fittings, the lid is secure. I would say there has been a slight deformation over time, the violin handle a tad askew. Nonetheless, a beautiful trinket box. Unsigned, the handle is impressed "Made in France", dating this piece to the late 1800's. «Less
