A charming set of five sterling silver teaspoons skillfully crafted by a silversmith or jeweler without a mould for elaborate flatware. Each of the spoons, initialed "PBT" in script and dated "'92" through "'96," are bright-cut engraved with designs to suggest anthemion-crested cast ware. The stem above the bowl is torque-twisted. Marked only "925 sterling 1000." Mint condition. Each approximately 6 inches long. See Trocadero Item #13651 for a similar butter knife.   «Less

This cigarette box was ordered in the Thirties by a famous Hollywood director; he provided the antique jeweled Tibetan belt buckle to a Hong Kong jeweler to be mounted up in a manner suitable to the piece. The copper box was plated in nickel which very closely matches the tone of the low-grade silver surrounding the agate, carnelian, turquoise and coral antique creation. The buckle is beautifully enhanced by its setting, but is free-standing and can be removed if so desired. The box is lined in dark rosewood and measures approximately 3-3/4 inches by 6-7/8 inches by 2-1/4 inches high. (A second cigarette box of a similar nature and the same provenance is offered at Trocadero #13691.) Excellent condition.   «Less

These twelve sterling silver goblets from the mid-Twenties are modern classics. Although they are two different models from the same American silversmith, M Fred Hirsch of New Jersey (active 1920 to 1945),they are so close in appearance that you have to concentrate to tell them apart. Engraved in a very lacy script that is hard to decipher: "LCA." They are approximately 6-3/4 inches tall and three inches in diameter, weigh over four pounds total,and are in excellent condition.   «Less

Combining beauty and fine quality, the Ansonia Clock Company's "Choktaw" model mantle clock. has a full-chime eight-day, spring-wound movement housed in a neo-rococo glazed earthenware case. A design of dogwood blossoms and butterflies plays over the surface highlighted in hand-painted tones of mauve and soft green with gilt detailing. The handsome reticulated dial features enameled Roman numerals. American, late Nineteenth Century. Approximately 11 inches high by seven inches wide by five inches deep. WEBB,A.C.(American,born 1889. Nashville, N.C.) SAINT-TROPEZ, oil on canvas. This painting was done by well-known American Impressionist A. C. Webb during his sojourn in France in the Twenties, and is signed and dated 1925. Saint-Tropez had just been "discovered" by the writer Colette and had not gained the worldwide popularity it has today with the "in" set. It still looks the same now -- at least from this angle! Webb was early on a student at New York's Art Student's League. Traveling to France, he became a member of Paris's illustrious Association Artistique Americaine, where he produced a large number of paintings and engravings, many of them acquired by the French government. He is well represented in museums in America and abroad. Approximately 19-1/2 inches by 24 inches. Superb condition, fine gilt frame.   «Less
