Hello, I am pleased to offer for sale this exquisitely beautiful and unique 1920's Chinese art deco style rug. This rug is quite large measuring 9' x 11' 6". This gem is all hand knotted and made from 100% pure wool on a cotton foundation. Only all natural dyes were used when making this rug over 90 years ago in China. Rugs of this style and size took over a year to make and can contain up to 10 miles of wool. This rug is in magnificent condition and looks and feels as if it was never even walked on. This rug has a very unique design with its lemon gold field and rose border. The scene depicted is full of beautiful flowers, birds, butterfly's, mountains, and treas. I have yet to find a rug of this kind, on the market with a design this gorgeous. When the rug is delivered it will have already been professionally cleaned using the proper, traditional methods and ready to be a magnificent center piece in your home or business. This exquisite box is an amazing piece of 19th century exotic craftsmanship. The box is made from ebony, inlaid with ivory, and veneered with porcupine quills. This example is one of the highest quality boxes of this kind. This box has a ton of ivory compared to most you will see for sale. There are no markings but from lots of research we believe this was crafted in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) in the 1800's. Hello, For sale is this gorgeous secretary bookcase/ desk. The piece is made of burled walnut and is very solid. It is aprox. 130 years old and in amazing condition. The construction of this time is very impressive. The small details such as the "pin and cove" drawer construction really explain the age of this piece. There are many secretary type pieces out there but I have yet to come across one that is nearly as unique and beautiful. I even have the original key to the drawers and cabinets. Hello, I am pleased to be offering for sale this gorgeous, primitive style portrait. This piece is oil on canvas and depicts a sweet looking young girl holding grapes and flowers. The artist is unknown but it was painted in the 1800's. This portrait has lots of charm and a well aged feel. There are no signs of damage. The only markings to be found are branded on the canvas stretcher and read "Chapman made in Spain" From what I can find, Chapman was a maker of fine furniture and apparently the also made wood frame work.
