French Limoge and other varying makers of oyster plates are very collectible especially on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.Very Collectible. This oyster plate is in very good condition and on the back is marked Limoge France. Also is marked LS&S-Limoge, France which was probably the maker's mark. Good Condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Very popular on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, especially on Kent Island. 20TH Century Limoge Old Abbey Individual Oyster Serving Dish measuring 8 1/4" X 9 1/4" and 2 1/4" in depth. This is a very unique piece that I have never seen before. I am very aware of the value of the different factories in Limoge,France that produced the many different companies such as Haviland and many others. Oyster Plates are very collectible especially on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This is a form that I have not seen before. It appears to me to be a oyster server for Two Oysters in their shells. We have seen the many oyster plates attributed to many companies in Limoge, France. They usually measured about 8" in diameter and had six to eight opening to put a complete oyster shell in. This is a oyster server for only two oysters. It is marked Old Abbey Limoges on the bottom and also Limoges,France. Abbey is one of many companies in Limoge that date from the late 19TH. Century. Circa 1748 Chinese Export Armorial Coat of Arms of Crozier. This fine armorial gravy boat bears the arms of Crozier, identified in the Howard Book, Volume 1, Page 328. In addition to it's armorial crest on both sides, it has a nicely painted scene with two small European figures awaiting arrival of several boats coming in to dock. Both of these boats have a flag which one to appear as a British flag. Also in the water are three figures rowing in a canoe. This scene appears on the front under the spout and in the back of the item, inside of the handle. It measures 9" from spout to top of handle and is 3 5/8" in height to top of spout. This is not a tiny sauce boat. It has very good size. This piece is in very good condition and immaculate crest with no losses in the several painted scenes. Howard dates this dinner service bearing this crest to 1748. Minor fritting and nicks to edges. It is a possibility that the handle has had restoration. No wear to the armorial crest and coat of arms and beautifully painted scenes.   « Less

Circa 1740-1760 Chinese Export Sauce/Gravy Boat decorated with the arms of Skinner under the spout. It measures 8" from end of handle to the end of the spout. This fabulous piece is also decorated on the exterior with famille rose floral garland, interior decorative band. Inside the shield of the Armorial Skinner's Crest their is a firing mark coming into the inside near the shield. No other damage and appears to have no restoration. This Skinners coat of arms is identified in David Sanctuary Howard's book on Chinese Export Porcelain, Volume 1.   « Less

Circa 1900 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Sauce or Gravy Boat. It has the "china" mark on the base so that dates it after 1891. It measures 7" from spout to handle. The inside is decorated with a famille rose border and a famille rose with a bird inside a gilded circle with butterflies on each side. The outside is decorated with a rose meddallion scene on one side going from spout to handle and a famille rose with greenery with two ducks. The panel just underneath the spout for pouring is a bird with a rose around a gilded circle.   « Less
