Superb quality and dating from the mid 19thC this fine table has a polished top that folds over and swivels to form the writing surface - revealing an inset dark blue leather writing area. A very pretty Antique Georgian Satinwood Reading Table.. This antique reading table has a satinwood crossbanded rectangular top and dates from the reign of King George III c1800. The top has a tilt adjustment offering four positions, three inclined and a flat table top as well. Standing on a delicate turned stem with beautiful downswept legs terminating in turned tapering feet this is a truly fine example of a small reading table from the Georgian period. In fine condition, with a good patina - and not over-restored - this is a usable piece of highly decorative furniture suitable for a study, sitting room or library.
