A fine quality Antique Oak Pedestal Desk. Dating from the Victorian period this medium size antique desk is made from figured light oak. It has a superb original green and gilded leather writing surface inset into the moulded top. Each pedestal has three graduated drawers. There are a further three frieze drawers. This antique oak pedestal desk has panelled sides and rear. Twin decorated brass ring handles and original brass lever locks (with key) to all drawers. This antique oak desk is in the usual pedestal desk configuration of three pieces i.e. two pedestals and the top, for ease of transportation and also sits on concealed wheeled castors.

Wonderfully original Victorian Mahogany Writing Desk c1890. Many features typical of the more elaborate writing desks of this period including the raised structure with miniature pedestals with drawers, a raised rear gallery, distinctive brass handles and the cruciform shaped leather writing surface to the break front main level. With each main pedestal containing two drawers and an under tray/shelf all supported on beautifully turned legs and original castors with brown porcelain wheels this is a great example of the best quality writing furniture of the period. Original brass handles. Locks stamped with a crown and VR.

A very interesting Early Victorian Pedestal Desk made from the tropical hardwoods Jackwood and Ebony. A Colonial piece made in one of the British Colonies of the 19thC (likely India) this desk has many unique features including the arched kneehole and campaign style desk top with square edges. Original wooded handles and unique ebony lozenge shaped escutcheons. Original working brass locks and keys this fine desk has a dark green and gilded older replacement leather writing surface in excellent condition. A one piece desk with a plain boarded rear elevation typical of the period this desk has wheeled castors for ease of movement.

Very good value for money for a desk of this size. An Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Partners' Desk of excellent proportions. Very good working height and good kneehole aperture height. The front elevation comprises eight drawers of graduated size with brass handles and brass locks with key. The rear elevation has two large cupboards each with a shelf and feature arched cupboard doors. A particular feature of this desk is the generous kneehole aperture offering excellent working space. This Antique Partners' Desk has a very good older replacement green leather writing surface with gilded embossing inset into the cross-banded top . This desk has the patina and character of a well loved piece of genuine antique early Victorian furniture and would be suitable for a variety of uses including a home office, study or library. Provenance: a well known UK School.

A fine quality 18 drawer Antique Mahogany Partners Desk, with identical nine drawer configuration to both front and rear elevations. This Partners Desk dates from the Victorian period, 1860-1880, and is in excellent condition with a very dark navy blue leather writing surface.
The desk has lined mahogany drawers with hand cut dovetails. Each drawer has brass lever locks and escutcheons and attractive brass swan neck handles that are actually Victorian replacements with excellent colour and patination. This desk also has original working brass castors and wheels for ease of movement.
This is a fine example of an 18 drawer Antique Mahogany Partners Desk and its overall proportions and colour make it an impressive and handsome desk from all angles and an excellent example of Antique Victorian Office Furniture.
