Boylston Antiques
is Proud to Offer for Sale
An original, vintage miniature still life oil painting of a European café au lait or chocolate with varied sweets or Bon Bons.
A typewritten card on the reverse of the painting states that the artist, L. Pizarro, was born in Seville, Spain in 1937. It goes on to state that he studied art at the Madrid Art Academy; has exhibited successfully throughout Europe and is well-known for his miniature still-life paintings.
• Total view size of the oil painting is 5 ¼†x 4 ¼â€. Total size of the framed work is 11 ½†x 10 ½â€.
• This painting is framed with a 1†thick gold and linen frame, then a 2†thick gold wooden frame.
• The ground of the painting is very dark; it is barely possible to make out a signature of “L. Pizarro†on the lower right (see photo).
Condition: This gold frame has some nicks, scratches and gouges; some restoration has been attempted. The surface of the painting may have a few flecks here and there. This is a vintage painting, so such imperfections can be expected.
