This is a late Qing dynasty pufu or surcoat with a rank badge. The pufu is make of silk gauze or kesi for the summer and a heavier satin-silk, sometimes lined with fur, for the winter. The rank badge with the embroidered silvery pheasant is that of a fifth grade or rank of the civil official. It is represented as standing on the pedestal rock facing and looking towards the sun, the imperial symbol of authority. There are also other symbols like the five bats, in Chinses called wufu or five blessings, Lingzhi representing the plant of longevity and immortality. There is also, at the left hand corner to the rock pedestal a set of three spikes which is an insignia of Buddhism and Taoism.
Of interest is that of the shoulder epaulette which has a pair of gold threaded dragon with gold wire. In the centre is the flaming pearl and just below it is the rock pedestal in the sea. The margin of the inner boundary is also lined with blue and golden wire thread. This is a very beautiful piece of shoulder epaulette. Shoulder epaulette are also harder to come by compared to the badge rank. Circa. Late 19th century.
The pufu with the rank badge and shoulder epaulette is in good condition with minor wear and tear.
The dimension of the pufu is as follows: The pufu length (top to bottom) is 109cm and width (left to right) is 154cm. For the shoulder epaulette, the length is 83cm and the width is 36cm.

This is a yellow mat glazed brush pot from the renown Chinese potter Wang Bingrong. The brush pot is potted in high relief depicting a scene of a pair of birds perching on the willow tree on a breezy day and with another bird flying towards it. Behind it is a lovely poem describing the lively scenary. Circa late 19th / early 20th century
The brush pot is in good condition. There is no crack, chip, glaze fritting, repair or restoration.
The dimension of the Brush Pot: The diameter is 9.2cm and the height is 13.5.

This is a small porcelain brush washer in the shape of a half persimmon with large scallop rim in mat gold colour. The interior is glazed in uneven turquoise color. This is a late Qing dynasty piece probably of the early 20th century.
There is no crack, chip, glaze fritting, repair or restoration. There is only a minor firing fault as shown in picture no. 6 and minor bubble burst on one of the bud. Overall, it is in good condition.
The dimension of the persimmon brush washer: The base diameter is 7.9cm and the height is 3.7cm.

This is a piece of fine studio vase from the early republic period. The theme of this vase is that of the baboon monkey in a scenic mountain top of waterfall amid pine tress. The body is painted with an excellent fine artwork with very minute details. All this has been enlarge to show the intricate painting artwork and the effort put into this piece of vase. The trees, waterfall, hair, eyes facial features of the monkey are all very delicately and realistically painted. The vase has the honorific Qianglong reign mark on the base but it is dated to the early Republic period, probably from1930s -1940s.
There is no crack, chip, glaze fritting, repair or restoration. The vase is in good condition.
The dimension of the vase: The width is 13.8cm and the height is 25.8cm.

This is an excellent piece of fine studio ovoid vase. It stands on a counter-sunk base with a ring to it. It then rises from the narrow foot base to an ovoid body with a sort neck to an everted straight mouth rim. The body is painted with an excellent fine artwork with very minute details. All this has been enlarge to show the intricate painting artwork and the effort put into this piece of ovoid vase. The hair, eyes facial features and fo lion are all very delicately painted. The painting is likely to be that of a story during the Tang dynasty in which one of the emperor that was haunted by an evil spirit during his sleep. Every night he has a general keeping watch over him to prevent the spirit from haunting him. The priest is the well known monk from India, called Damo. Here, he is seen exorcising the evil spirit in the form of a dragon. Behind the painting is a poem about righteousness and describing the story. The ovoid vase has the Shengde Tang seal mark on the base but it is dated to the early Republic period, 1912-1949.
There is no crack, chip, glaze fritting, repair or restoration. The fine ovoid vase is in good condition.

This is a small and delicately potted decorative porcelain walnut fruit from the Qing dynasty. It is made so realistically that it even has green leaves and three walnut fruits. It is also a fruit with contrast of a green unripe and two drak brown ripen walnuts. A very nice piece. This piece is dated to the Kangxi period (1662-1722) from the Qing dynasty.
There is no crack, glaze fritting, repair or restoration. Two small chip to the tip of the leave as shown in picture 5. Overall, the decorative fruit is in good condition.
The dimension of the decorative walnut fruit: The length is 5.4cm and the height is 4cm.

This is a small and delicately potted decorative porcelain fruit from the Qing dynasty. It is made so realistically that it even has green leaves and a small red insect on it. It is also a fruit with contrast of green unripe and yellow ripen fruits. Very nice indeed. This piece is dated to the Kangxi period (1662-1722) from the Qing dynasty.
There is no chip, crack, glaze fritting, repair or restoration. Overall, the decorative fruit is in very good condition.
