This is a superb antique four-tiered Neoclassical chandelier with its original prisms, dating from the 1920’s. This three-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with a gadrooned canopy with volute detail, coming down in a chain to an intricate loop finial with volutes and feathery leaf detail. Intricately detailed bands support the chandelier body, which is ornamented with lattice detail interspersed with volute wreaths that encircle dangling teardrop prisms. Below, the chandelier continues in four tiers of sparkling “icicle” prisms, and is finished in a faceted crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 14 ½” wide and 27 ½” long; the fixture is 46 ½” long overall. Item # NC716   « Less

This cast iron mechanical frog bank was manufactured by J&E Stevens Company in Cromwell, Connecticut. It was based on a patent issued to James H. Bowen of Philadelphia on August 8, 1882. Bowen also took out an English patent on July 28, 1882. It measures about 10" x 4" and weighs about 2 pound 9 ounces (including some change inside.) It is rated as in "fine" condition. The small foot runs perfectly and the glass eyes are all extant and in excellent condition   « Less

This hexagonal lantern begins with a simple loop finial atop a brass roof, with intricate volute and foliate detail below. A bead-and-reel pattern runs down the edges of the panels, and the underside of the lantern is finished in a dangling tassel finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The magnificent blue sky scraper shade features a fabulous texture and a stepped design that finishes in a ribbed ziggurat. Circa 1910, these Art Nouveau doorknob sets feature an elegant, looping design. They are in excellent condition. The doorknobs and escutcheons plates are accompanied by antique Yale mortise locks. Each plate is 7 ¼” by 2 3/8”; the knobs are 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the plates on the mortise locks are 7/8” wide and 5 ½” tall.
