This is a very feminine interpretation of Guanyin (Kwan Yin), Goddess of Mercy. Guanyin holds a bouquet of roses in her arms, stands amongst swirling clouds and is dressed in flowing robes. The Goddess has a wonderful serene expression, this lovely blanc de chine piece from the late Qing Dynasty. The figurine is unsigned. Circa 1894-1900. Exquisite, petite Limoge tea set. Beautiful in every way, from the gracefully shaped porcelain to the fine, delicate hand painting and lavish gilding. Each piece is a small work of art, bursting with color in the form of purple flowers on fine green stems, finished in heavy bright gold gilding, detailed with a fine black line decoration. Fully marked for the fine French porcelain maker Delinieres (D & Co.) mark#3 with the name Frenith in black script on the bottom of all three pieces. Each piece is clearly artist signed "Berger". The decoration and the gilding look very similar to the work of the American decorating company "Pickard" but I can find no references that tie these names to them. All three pieces are in exceptionally fine original condition and would make a fine addition to any home or collection. Tea pot is 5 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" wide handle to spout, creamer is 3 3/4" tall x 5" wide, open sugar bowl is 3 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" wide. Price 425.00 for the set.   « Less

Circa 1904. Tall hand painted porcelain vase. This fine large vase is brilliantly hand-painted with large multi-colored flowers which I believe are peonies. Red, purple pink and white blossoms adorn this vase all painted by a skilled hand and boldly artist signed on the base "Berry". The back round colors are shaded greens and pinks and there is an abundance of green leaves around the flowers. The vase is finished with a deep gold collar around the lip. Marked on the base H&Co., Selb, Bavaria for the fine German porcelain maker Heinrich. Very fine original condition with wear only to the very top gold rim. Circa 1930. Extraordinary set of twelve gilded chargers. As dramatic and dressy as they come these beautiful serving plates are heavily gilded and decorated with a 3 1/2" border of finely detailed gold decoration which surrounds a central 3 1/2" diameter bouquet of brightly colored flowers (different on each plate). Everything about these are of the highest quality, from the white porcelain blank, the art of the flowers to the heavy, bright detailed gold. All twelve are in fine condition with only minor, difficult to detect rubbing to the gold where the plates were stacked. Although all of the plates match, one has a different maker's mark than the other eleven. Eleven are marked Crown Imperial Czecho-Slowakia, one is marked Royal Bavarian Hutschenreuther, Selb, Bavaria. I do not no why this is the case. Circa 1891. Superb Royal Worcester covered cheese dish. This large, round cheese keeper is another example of some of the best work of a fine 19th century English maker. Beautiful pink blooms on a fluttering vine of BLUE leaves, all on a fine cream colored back round, out-lined in gold. The bottom of the cover and the edge of the bottom bowl are also gilded as is the double knot finial. Exceptional in both quality and condition. Fully marked top and bottom for Royal Worcester, and date marked for 1891. Very fine original condition with almost no signs of wear or use. Circa 1875. Absolutely charming Victorian porcelain tea set. This fine transfer ware set is a fine white porcelain, shaded to a pale aqua and strewn with delicate pink, white and yellow flowers and green leaves. The trim and handles are all a fine brushed gold. I believe it is rare to find a set with so many pieces intact. The large tray holds all the pieces easily. The set consists of a tall pot, covered two handled sugar bowl, creamer, large tray and two small cups and saucers. The pot, cream, sugar, tray and both saucers are all in fine original condition. The cups each have a condition issue. One cup has tight hairline, the other a tiny chip. Both are still usable and display well. Un- marked. Fresh from a Brooklyn, New York estate. Tray 13" x 16", pot 7 1/2" tall x 6" x 4 1/2", sugar 5" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 4" , creamer, 4" tall x 4 1/4" x 3" diameter. Price for complete set,   « Less

Exceptional Dresden pedestal cake plate or tazza. This graceful serving piece was retailed by the fine, high end retailers, Bailey, Banks and Biddle of Philadelphia, during the hey day of The Belle Epoch, to be used in the serving of petite fours or other dainties. Fully marked for the very well regarded Carl Thieme Saxony Porcelain Factory in Dresden, Germany, this company began as a decorating studio in 1860 and began to produce its own porcelain in 1872. Thieme decorated his porcelain in the style and patterns of the finest European makers, Vienna, Sevres and Meissen, and employed expert porcelain painters to create beautiful and realistic floral and botanical arrangements in the "alt Dresden" style. This lovely piece features a reticulated border and base and a gently curved upward edge. The colors are bright and lively, on a pure white back round, with plentiful gold detail. Excellent original condition with no signs of wear or use. A rare find, fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 8 1/2" diameter, 5" tall.   « Less
