We have for sale an extra nice 1800's French style button tuft back sofa. This beautiful sofa was made in the 1800's. It is heavily carved in rich detail which border the top crest and flows down the back and cascades over the arms and runs down along the bottom flank. There are 4 legs in the front which is standard for antique sofas. Antique sofas in the 1800's measured from 65” to 75” . We believe the sofa has been re-upholstered in the 20's or 30's. There is no stains or tears. The sofa is in mint condition. The piece is very sturdy and is comfortable to sit on. The sofa stands 39 ½ inches tall by 71 inches by 33 1/8 inches and weighs 123 pounds. UPS Freight Lines will deliver with insurance. The set is trimmed in gold with no chips or cracks. They are very attractive and in excellent condition. We do not know the exact age or date. We believe they are from the late 1800's or early 1900's. The platter is 16 ¼ inches long by 11 ½ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches tall and weighs 2 pounds. This is such a beautiful and unusual piece. Originating in Shandong, China circa 1930, this was used to display and serve food. The raised section is for a cloth, which would cover the food and act as protection against insects. The wood, which is bamboo and elm, is really beautiful. There are two drawers and one storage area with beautiful hardware on the fronts. The corners have a metal strip which is a nice added detail. There are some nicks and scratches and the wood is chipped around the drawers but overall the piece is in good condition. The cabinet measures 38 1/2" in height, and is 25 3/4" square. The bottom part of the cabinet is 18" in height, 19 1/2" from left to right and 20" front to back. Weight is 31 lbs.
