During WW II he worked in the Armed Forces Motion Picture Unit, which made propaganda films and cartoons. His greatest fame came from the 23 years -- from 1973-1996 -- that he spent as a courtroom artist during some of the most notorious trials of the late 20th century, including those of Roman Polanski, Patty Hearst, Rodney King, John DeLorean, and Klaus Barbie.
