this attractive bisque porcelain ceramic egg, is beautiful with gorgeous spring flowers in pastel colors. A symmetric stem blooming flowers, and bows with pink, lavender, blue, green, and gold. excellent condition, aged, without any imperfection. Marked FM 88 in gilt and labeled , made in Thailand, on the base next to the open part. the gold and colored bead work is exquisite. it is Just right for Easter Inspiration, and would make a fabulous seasonal gifts for any occasion ! FM presumably stands for Franklin Mint. Measuring about 4" x 2" at the largest. On the base there are four dancing figures with applied floral decoration throughout the piece and a bowl on the top that has lattice work, hand-painted flowers, and applied flowers. Bottom of both rabbits marked with logo. Ear up rabbit is 5" tall and 4 1/2" long. Ear back rabbit is 3" tall and 5 1/2" long. Weston and Brenda Andersen began collaborating on contemporary designs of bowls, vases and other ware in Akron, Ohio in 1952. A year later they moved to Southport, Maine. Here they started their line of animal and bird sculptures. The pottery is produced today by the second generation.   « Less

Bird on the stump is 6" tall and 4 1/2" wide, bird with beak up is 3 3/4" tall and 4" long and the beak down bird is 3 1/4" tall and 5" long. Howard Pierce's California pottery consisted of distinctively modern figurines of animals, birds and people.
