Delightful antique cast iron door hardware sets by P. & F. Corbin, in the “Piccadilly” design from their 1905 catalog. The knob features an elegant six-fold design with a flower in the center, surrounded by a graceful foliate border. The flower motif is repeated on the top of the backplate, which is also ornamented with flowing leaves and vines and shows Art Nouveau influence. Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 2-1/4” deep; the backplates measure 2-1/16” by 7-1/8”. A fantastic antique cast bronze “Broken Leaf” exterior door hardware set by Lockwood Manufacturing Company. Patented in 1886, this sought-after door hardware features an unusual asymmetrical design of a vase of flowers, surrounded by foliage with bent stems. This set features a decorative mortise lock with the matching double-keyhole door plate, rosette, thumb turn, and keyhole escutcheon. It was paired with a black porcelain (or “black jet”) doorknob with an unusual decorative shank. The door knob is 2-1/8” wide and 2” deep; the backplate is 6-15/16” by 1-3/4; the rose is approx. 2-1/6” in diameter; and the keyhole cover is 1-1/16” by 1-3/4”. A magnificent pair of antique cast bronze Eastlake hinges, dating from the late 1800’s, with ornate steeple finials. These 5” lift-off hinges feature a flowing floral design crossed with a diagonal band and ornamented with stylized flowers and geometric detail. The hinges are in very good antique condition with some minor wear to the knuckles, finials, and screw holes as shown. A very rare antique cast bronze entry door hardware set, dating from the late 1800’s. This figural door hardware set features magnificent, deeply cast detail with a dragon design. The cast bronze door plate features a winding floral design throughout, similar to Reading Hardware’s Columbian pattern, with a mythical beast surrounding the upper keyhole and a second at the bottom of the plate. The rose features a triple design with dragon heads, and the keyhole has a matching creature with floral detail. This set includes the large exterior doorplate with a swinging keyhole cover, a round doorknob escutcheon and a figural keyhole escutcheon for the inside, and a double keyhole lock. The backplate measures 2-7/8” wide and 11” long; the rosette is 2-1/8” diameter; and the keyhole is 1-/2” by 2-1/4”. The lock has a faceplate 1-1/8” wide and 7-5/8” long, with a 3-1/8” backset. The lock body is 4-1/2” deep overall and 5-1/2” long. There is no doorknob included with this set, but it will accommodate a knob with a standard ¼” spindle – if you need a knob, let us know and we can find some good options for you.
