Very fine Art Deco period macassar wood kidney shape desk with original leather top and hardware. Made in Austria circa 1920-25. Measures 73 inches wide, 29.25 inches deep at center, 32 inches deep at each side, and 31 inches high. Three drawers over two doors with open shelves on both sides and back. The back also has a door concealing extra storage. An exceptionally beautiful and functional desk. Very rare pair of Baltic Russian Biedermeier walnut veneered sofas. Gilded lion masks and flowers; ebonized fans and stacked disc legs. Second quarter of the 19th century. Just in from an important Connecticut estate. These sofas are not only strong, they are also quite comfortable. Excellent condition. They each measure 84 inches wide overall, 60 inches wide between the arms, 27 inches deep overall, 20 inches deep inside the seat, 32.5 inches high at the arm, 36.75 inches high at the back, and 18 inches high at the seat. American Federal style centennial walnut dining table with two leaves c1885. This is one of the highest quality tables we have come by. Just in from the estate of Katharine Hepburn in Old Saybrook CT. Made form the most beautiful matched American solid black walnut. Measures 69 inches long and 48 inches wide with the leaves out, and 105 inches long by 48 inches wide with both 11 inches wide leaves in. The table was made in the 18th century Duncan Phyfe style, with two tilttop pedestals which allow for easy storage. There are two solid walnut rails that slide into the supports under each pedestal that hold the leaves, along with six brass u shape clamps. The table is in excellent condition. Shipping extra. Measures 68 inches high, 32 inches wide, 19 inches deep inside and 22 inches outside. This is a rare diminutive size for a period French country cupboard. Hand made with a block plane and joined with wooden pins. Original hardware and key.
