Beautiful light oak sideboard, imported from England and dating back to the turn of the 20th century.
The base has 2 drawers over beaded double paneled doors with decorative two toned diamond shaped accents. These doors open to reveal a nice open storage space. The cast metal handles are all original and in great shape. Each door has a lock but no key.
Mounted on top is a small oval beveled mirror with decorative carved beading and lighter colored scrolled accents.
The whole thing stands on 2 straight back legs and 2 beautifully carved barley twist legs to the front. The legs are connected by a 'H' stretcher for added stability and support.
There is some minor loss to the light colored accents next to the mirror. There is also some tiny pieces missing from the diamond shaped accents on the doors which are hardly noticeable. All of this is shown in the pictures and as you can see it does not effect the over all beauty of the piece.
This very pretty piece of furniture displays a wonderful aged patina with some beautiful tiger oak. It has some very minor wear throughout and has no major marks or rings on top. Over all it is in solid, sturdy condition with very minor age appropriate flaws.
Dimensions: width 48", depth 17 3/4", server height 36 1/4", total height 48 1/2".

Fantastic one of a kind solid oak sideboard, imported from England and dating back to the turn of the 20th century.
The first thing that catches your eye has to be the 4 wonderfully hand carved court jester faces on the back splash. Each one is slightly different with it's own unique character.
The angled fluted top edge has 3 drawers concealed within, one of which has the original green velvet lining which would have been the cutlery drawer.
Below there are 2 large central drawers flanked by 2 spacious cupboards. The cupboard doors boast an unusual carved scalloped edge and a central club design.
Both side edges are fluted and terminate in a beautiful hand carved rosette and the whole thing stands on 4 short chunky turned legs.
The beautiful brass drop handles are all original and cupboard still retains it's working lock and key.
There is some minor wear throughout the piece, mainly on the legs and sides which is normal age appropriate wear. There are no major marks or rings on the top and no splitting of the wood.
This is an extremely heavy solid wood piece of furniture. I have shown a picture of the back so that you can see just how solid it is. The aged oak wood grain is beautiful and it is in super sturdy condition.
What a wonderful, unique, one of a kind piece of old furniture this is with an abundance of character and charm and ready to bring a sense of grandeur to any ones home.
Dimensions: width 60 1/4", depth 23", server height 36", total height 40 1/4".

It is covered in the original dark brown leather with a wonderful buttoned back and studded trim. There is some slight wear to the leather but as you can see it is still in remarkable condition for its age. The padding and sprung seat are still strong so this chair could most definitely be used as is and look great.

This chair was found in an old house in Lancaster, MA. There was a Shaker colony directly to the east of Lancaster in Harvard, MA, and another directly to the north of Lancaster in Shirley, MA. We cannot say that this is definitely a Shaker chair, but it does have a certain characteristics of the Shaker style, with its fairly plain stiles and stretchers. It is most certainly made by hand. There is a certain uneven quality to its construction; the left hand facing rear stile is 45†in height while the right hand facing rear stile is 44 ½†in height; however, the vasiform turnings at the base of the legs are of uniform height. There are hand-made square nails used in its construction.
This is a four (4) slat ladder back arm chair which retains an old stained surface.
It has four back slats which are curved on top and flat on the bottom, indicating a New England origin. The slats are made of oak; the rest of the chair is most probably ash or maple. The rush seat is in useable condition; there are several small areas of broken rush but the seat is still sturdy.
It has shaped arms terminating in round pad hand rests which show plenty of wear.
The stiles are topped with acorn and nipple finials which also display a great deal of wear.
The plain turned double front stretchers also display wear.
The legs terminate in vasiform turnings below the lower stretchers. The front stiles display the same vasiform turnings above the seat rail and below the hand rests.
• Rear stile height is 45â€/44 ½ †from floor.
• Seat height is 16 ½â€.
• Seat width at front is 17â€.
• Seat width at rear is 15 ½â€.
• Seat depth is 14â€.
• Width at top of stiles is 15 ½â€.
• There are 7 stretchers; 2 on each side, two in the front and one at the rear.
• Weight is 13 lbs.
This chair is solid and sturdy; the joints are tight and the rush is serviceable, although broken in several small places. The old stained surface is worn, especially on the arms, the front stretchers and the backs of the slats. There are nicks and scratches on the legs, stiles and slats, expected in a chair approaching 220 years of age.
This chair may be picked up in Boylston, MA. We can arrange for delivery within 100 miles.
Please e-mail for a delivery estimate with your location and particulars.
If shipping is needed, please email for a quote to your destination.
All items are sold "as is". This is an antique piece of furniture; small nicks and scratches are part of the beauty of an antique and are not described unless significant.
Please ask any questions prior to offering to purchase.

Antique English small mahogany desk or sofa table, imported from England and dating back to the late Victorian era, C.1880.
There are 2 large drawers over 2 small drawers to the front, creating a small knee hole. Each drawer has what looks to be the original wooden knobs and the wood grain on the front has developed a wonderful patina.
It stands on 4 beautifully turned legs terminating in white porcelain casters.
There is some minor wear throughout and some splitting on the sides due to climate change causing movement in the wood. I have tried to show as much as possible in the pictures and as you can see it is still a beautiful piece of old English furniture.
Over all this piece is in solid, sturdy condition with minor age appropriate flaws.

Large antique English oak leather top knee hole desk, imported from England and dating back to C.1880.
Make a statement with this fantastic desk. Not only does it look impressive, it is functional also and ready for every day use.
There are 2 drawer columns, one on each side, with 3 graduating drawers. The desk top sits snugly on top and has 3 drawers running across the front. All of the drawers have the original wooden knob handles and locks but no key.
The writing top features the original green leather with gold tooled edge. There is some minor wear to the leather but I would consider it to be in very good condition for its age.
It is finished on all sides so it could be free standing and not have to be up against a wall.
As you can see in the pictures, this desk has developed a wonderful golden oak patina along with many character forming, age appropriate flaws.
There is some splitting due to climate change causing movement in the wood. There is also an old repair to the center front of the right bottom drawer. There is some minor veneer loss, mainly to the base, along with general rustic wear throughout.
Over all this beautiful piece of old English furniture is in solid, sturdy condition.
Dimensions: width 54", depth 29 1/4", height 29 1/4", knee hole width 23", knee hole height 22 3/4".

One piece cupboard with top having canted section which goes from 9-1/2†deep to 12-1/2†on the bottom.
This rare step-back primitive pine cupboard has a lovely, weathered honey brown patina. There are remnants of an old blue-green wash in some surface pits.
Three graduated shelves in the open, white-washed top area are grooved for displaying plates.
The bottom has a central door with one shelf behind. Door is held shut with a wooden turn-screw. The door has a raised and chamfered central panel. The interior of the door displays a worn, grain-painted surface.
The cupboard has boot-jack ends and an arched front apron.
The front surface displays a bead molding on the outer edge.
There are square nails used in its construction.
The rear of the cupboard is composed of 3 long boards. It appears that there have been some replacement board feet inserted into the bottom few feet of the left two boards. There is a diagonal crack apparent in the top of the central rear board.
• Overall height is 80†from floor.
• Overall width is 30 ¾â€.
• Base is 16 ½†deep.
• Upper section is 9 ½†deep at the top, tapering to 12½†deep at the base of the upper section.
• Door measurements are 28†high x 20 ½†wide.
This cupboard is solid and sturdy. The old stained surface is worn, pitted and cracked in places. There are nicks and scratches expected in a piece approaching 200 years of age.
This cupboard may be picked up in Boylston, MA. We can arrange for delivery within 100 miles.
Please e-mail for a delivery estimate with your location and particulars.
