The Vase measures 7 5/16" tall and 6" wide outside handle measurements. The inside opening measures approximately 3 3/8" wide at the rim and 2 5/8" wide at the neck. The Vase depicts a large Columbine Flower in full bloom with Three Leaf Clusters on long stems. The pattern is the same on both sides of the Vase. For sale I have a wonderful Arts and Crafts piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Shape is a Lamp Base Pottery Glazed Blank. The More »
For sale I have a wonderful Arts and Crafts piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Shape is a Lamp Base Pottery Glazed Blank. The Lamp Base measures 7 7/8" tall and is 4 1/4" in Diameter at the belly of the base. The top rim measures 3 15/16" outside measurement.
The Lamp Base Blank Displays an array of Geometrical Embossed or Raised Blade like Leaves that Surround the entire Base. The Glaze is just wonderful as it has a Caramel or Mustard colored matte blend of yellow and tan, in combination with the Avocado Matt Green. This green kinds of reminds me of the color of Moss. The bottom of the Lamp Base has a Reddish Melon Colored Glaze covered partially with the Green Glaze. There is a factory drilled bottom hole as well as on the side near the bottom. There is Glaze in these holes and this is how we know it is Factory. These Holes allows for the lamp cord to go through the back side and one could also have a complimentary foot added out of wood or metal for more stability and height.
The Lamp Base is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is unsigned but it displays that Melon Colored Reddish bottom. This is the tell tale sign of Roseville's Early Velmoss Line. The bottom of the bowl's edges are ground down smooth which is very similar to Hampshire Pottery's method of finishing their pieces.
The Early Velmoss Line was considered an early Line by Roseville as it was first introduced in 1916. Those of you who are looking to add this example to their collection will be happy with their purchase. This line is a hard to find line in the field of Roseville Collecting. Usually when these pieces are found there is damage. I am happy to report there is None. This line works extremely well with those decorating in the Mission Arts and Crafts Style of Decor. This works just wonderful as a Vase display by turning the Factory Cord Hole to the backside.
This piece was made Circa 1916-1922 « Less

For Sale I have an Outstanding Piece of Art Pottery made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is "Ferella" and it is a Tall Double Handled Vase. More »
For Sale I have an Outstanding Piece of Art Pottery made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is "Ferella" and it is a Tall Double Handled Vase. The Vase stands 9 1/4" tall and is 6 1/4" in diameter. This Pattern is one of Roseville's most desirable and hardest to obtain. The Vase displays a Wonderful Matte Mottled Brown Glaze. This Vase has some of the strongest mottling I have ever seen in a Ferella piece. It also displays small window cut outs ( Reticulated) that are square and arch shaped Surrounding the top of the Vase along with Arched Shaped with a Point Windows surrounding the bottom. They are accented by small clusters of Tall Stemmed Flowers. The stems are green with beige colored flowers. The Bottom edge has an almost Black Mottled Glaze Ring. The Vase has two Applied Handles extending from the neck down to the outer waist of the vessel. They are Graceful and fit the Vase well. This is one of the most difficult pieces of Art Pottery to make because of all the cut-outs. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no Cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The only issue is really nothing as the underside bottom rim has a small indent in the clay with a line. This is not damage as it is Factory and was clearly made this way. The piece is unmarked and more than likely had a Paper Label at one time. Those of you who collect Roseville Ferella know exactly what you are looking at. This is known as shape number 510-9 in the Roseville Pottery Catalog Pages and Considered to be a Rare Size to find. This Vase was made Circa 1931 during the Great Depression and was by Far the most Popular Roseville Pattern at that time. This pattern was named after Frank Ferella who was the top designer for Roseville during this period. There are only 24 Shapes in this Reticulated Art Deco Line. This is a Hand Carved Vase and I would consider it a Masterpiece in its own right. Those of you who collect Brown "Ferella" and want a Superb Example do not let this one slip by you. I'm sure the Buyer will be delighted with their purchase. « Less

For Sale I have a not so commonly found piece of Art Pottery made by Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Item is known as a Dresser Tray and in is done in Roseville's most Popular Blue background glaze. The Dresser Tray stands 1 5/8" tall and is 10 1/2" Diagonal measurement and is 6" wide. The Tray displays a pattern of Tall Stocks of Beige/White and Pink Foxgloves in high relief climbing through a cluster cluster of long Sage Green leaves. These are set amongst a Matte Blue Background. This is such a Lovely Pattern. The Tray is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. This is an extremely clean piece and shows minimal wear if any. The Tray is signed on the bottom with Roseville U.S.A. impressed mark. There is also the letter D and number 12 written in blue ink or glaze. These are more than likely the Artist and Finishers initial. This is a Hard to Find item in the Foxglove Pattern. I am quite confident that the buyer of this will cherish this for many years. Most of this pattern was marked with a raised relief signature mark. This one was one of the few molds in this pattern that were not. This is considered shape number 420-10" in the Foxglove Pattern Line by Roseville. I guarantee this to be an original piece of Roseville Pottery. This piece was made Circa 1942 during World War II. « Less

For Auction I have a Beautiful piece of pottery made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Double Handled Vase and the pattern is "Foxglove". The Vase measures 5 1/4" tall and is 7 5/8" in diameter outside handle measurement. The opening of this lovely piece is 5 1/2" wide.
The Vase depicts gracefully executed stalks of Foxglove in High Relief against a soft Blue background. There are two stalks on the front of the Vase that are glazed in a Dusty Pink and Cream to Yellow colors. There are Leaf Sprays that are glazed in Mint to Teal Green. The backside of the Vase has one Foxglove Stalk that is also glazed in the Cream to Yellow Colors.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is so clean and crisp that I don't believe it was ever used. There are the few typical pin pops and a glaze miss that are common with this glaze. They do not detract from the Vases beauty. The piece is signed with the raised relief "Roseville U.S.A. 659-5". There are also the letters "N" and "D" in grease pencil which is most likely the finishers mark.
The Vase was made Circa 1942. « Less

For Sale I have a Really Neat piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Futura" and it is the Deco Leaves Design. The shape is called a "Hanging Planter" and it has a Conical Shape. The Planter is a good size as it measures 5 1/4" tall and is 7 1/2" in diameter. The Planter has a nice Matte Brown Background Glaze. It is accented with Colorful Deco Shaped Leaves. They are done in Glazes of Soft Matt Purples, Blues, Greens and a Medium Mustard Yellow. This is a very lovely combination. This is one of the Hardest to Find Shapes in the Futura Deco Leaves Line. The Ringed Neck with a Green Overspray is the finishing touch. The Hanging Planter has 3 Factory Made Holes as to allow for the hooks to hold the Chain. I'm not sure if the Hooks and Chain are original to the Pot but I will include them to the Buyer. The Planter is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is a small area that is light on the Brown Glaze and shows the lighter colored clay underneath. I would call this almost a Glaze Miss as there is some Glaze there. Other than this the piece is Excellent. The 3 Holes that the Hooks are in show no damage and that is usually where it is on these pieces. The piece is unsigned but there is no mistaken this to be Futura made by Roseville Pottery. It is known as shape number 344-5" in the Roseville Catalog pages. Those of you who collect this pattern line and want an excellent example will surely welcome this one into their collection. The Futura line was created as a "Step into the Future" as it is a design of things to come. This pattern will work in Modern, Art Deco, Arts and Crafts and virtually any style Decor. This piece was made, circa 1924. « Less

For Sale I have a beautiful piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Vase and the pattern is the highly sought after "Iris". The Vase measures 6 3/8" tall and is 4 5/8" outside handle measurement. The opening of the Vase measures 3 1/4" wide inside rim measurement. The Vase displays very Natural Embossed Iris Flowers in a White Glaze with Pale Pink Overspray and Yellow Flower Centers. The Background is a very pleasing Pale Blue that graduates to a Darker Country Blue in color. The Iris's are blooming and have embossed Medium Green Colored Leaves nestled underneath them. You can see Iris Flower Buds that haven't quite opened yet as well. The Piece is accented on each side with handles that start at the waist and extend upwards to the shoulder of neck of the vase. I would call these Stepped Buttress Style Handles. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are no excuses to be made for this piece as it is an excellent example in both form and Glaze. The Vase is signed on the bottom with the impressed "Roseville" mark along with the mold number "917-6". This is a very lovely piece of Art Pottery made by Roseville Pottery. I'm sure the lucky buyer will be delighted with their purchase. This piece was made Circa 1939. « Less

For sale I have a beautiful Vase made by Roseville Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern name is know as "Jonquil" and it is a highly sought after pattern. The Vase is a good size as it stands 6 3/16" Tall and is 5 3/4" in diameter outside Handles measurement.
The Vase depicts two bunches per side of three Jonquil Daffodils with yellow centers on a spherical shape. Each of them are embossed above tall green leaves on a mottled light Brown organic like background. There is darker brown shading around the flowers, rims and handles. There are two free flowing handles attached just under the rim forming what looks like ears for handles. This is truly a beautiful pattern produced by Roseville.
The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no issues to report. The piece is unsigned as is the case with this pattern as most of them carried paper labels at one time. You can still see a number 5 written in a Red Grease Pencil. This is a remnant of the Shape number. This Vase is known as shape number 540-6" in the Roseville Pottery Catalog pages. Guaranteed to be original and in excellent shape free of nicks, chips, and hairlines.

For sale I have a Beautiful piece of pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Ferner or Low Bowl and the pattern is "Laurel". The piece measures 2 5/8" tall and is 7 7/8" in diameter. The opening in the Ferner is 6 1/2" wide.
The Bowl depicts Mountain Laurel Branches glazed in Dark Brown with Pink to Lilac Flower Buds. This branch design is a 4 repeat Pattern. There are elongated Leaves glazed in a Deep or Moss green with some Verde Green accents. There are three vertical Windows indented between each panel. The background is a lighter Green that is washed over a Pumpkin colored background glaze. The Ferner has Verde Green accents all over as if this glaze was used as a wash and pooled around the higher relief areas. The inside of the bowl should not go without mention as the curdling on the interior is similar to and rivals Hampshire Pottery's Matt Green Cucumber Glaze.
The Bowl is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is a factory fissure on the inside under the lip. This was made this way and has no consequential meaning. The piece is unsigned but it is shown in Mark Bassett's Roseville Pottery catalog as shape number 251-6.25". There is a number 9 written in Blue Ink or Grease pencil along with the letter "t" or "x" which is most likely the finishers mark.
This piece will work well in any Arts and Crafts or Mission setting as it has a wonderful organic feel to it. The experts feel "Green Laurel" will Rival the Prices of "Green Baneda" from an investment standpoint. The Bowl was made Circa 1934. « Less
