An unusual round brass ink container with a floral design from the Ming period. Inside there are still remains of old dried out black ink. Some writing on the underside, probably the maker. Another niece piece of Ming dynasty funerary sancai glazed foreign groom and horse. The groom is foreign looking with a white slash on the waist and downward. The cap looks like from the western part of the county, probably from the one of the tribes. The groom wears a brown coloured clothe with a long sleevless outer coat in green with white collar and button. The horse is cream white in colour with green glazed harness and green saddle cloth on the horse back. The saddle is glazed in brown colour. There is a re-attachment to one of the foreign groom thump as shown in a circle in photo no.4. Other than that, the usual abrasion, wear and tear applies to all funerary object. Other than the broken thump which is re-attached, it is considered to be in good condition. A nice piece of Ming dynasty funerary sancai glazed groom and horse. The horse is in light brown glazed while the groom wears a black cap, with a moustache and wearing a light green overcoat with white collar. The horse has a green glazed harness,tussles and saddle cloth. The saddle is brown in colour. There is only a chip to the horse ear as shown in picture no.4 by the circle. The chip on the horse ear can be easily repaired by an expert restorer. It would make the object look perfect again. No other damages or repair. The glaze is all very much intact. As with all antique funerary object, abrasion and wear can be expected. The height of the Ming dynasty funerary sancai glazed groom and horse is 23.5cm and the length is 26.8cm. The width is 11cm. This is a small Yuan dynasty blue and white jarlet with a flat base and a bulb shaped body. It has two stylized stalk of sun flowers drawn around the center of the jarlet. The blue and white jarlet is probably used for oinment or some medication. The blue and white jarlet is in good condition with a possible restoration to the right side circular ear as shown in photo number 4. Other than that, no crack, hairline or chip. This is a lime glazed bowl with a lime green ruyi at the upper band of the bowl and the lotus lappet at the bottom of the bowl just before the foot rim. In between the lime green ruyi band and lotus lappet are a mirror image bat or wufu surrounding the character shou or longevity. Between the two wings of the bats, on the left and right, they appear to be holding a lotus flower. Alternating between the pair of wufu is a swastika. Judging by the design, this bowl is probably a temple bowl or used for offering on the alter. The bowl is in good condition. No chip, crack, hairline or repair. Only minor wear, overglazed grits and pin holes as shown in picture 4. The diameter of the lime green glaze bowl is 13.7cm and the height is 6.3cm Please refer to our stock # Q090416065 when inquiring.   « Less
