A First Period Worcester Creamboat, Circa 1762-65. ; The creamer is of a form known as a Tall Chelsea Ewer. Simon Spero & John Sandon in ;Worcester Porcelain 1751-1790: The Zorensky Collection illustrate a First Period Worcester example, (page 125, #96). The tall ewer has a shaped recessed foot. ;The lower portion of the body has been moulded with acanthus leaves and the rim is undulated. ;On either side of the ewer are scattered flowers. ;Beneath the lip is an oval gilt frame outlined in red with a bouquet of flowers and green leaves within. The dishes are decorated with fruit within a heart-shaped g ilt border. ;The fruit depicted include grapes, plums, strawberries, raspberries and apples amongst others. ;The rim in yellow highlighted with gold with a continuous polychrome leafy border. Some gilt rubbing. The dish very closely matches in layout and design the pattern #140 allocated in the Factory pattern book.
