Used as a salesman''s sample, this tile by Franklin Faience has four small holes drilled through the front (before glazing. A wire was inserted so that it could be hung on the showroom wall. The back has multiple impressions of the company name as well as an ink mark ''SAMPLE''. This shows a pointer in profile. It is in very good condition. There is slight wear to the glossy black glaze and 3 tiny nicks to the edge.
