This is a small Ming dynasty longquan or celadon vase. The longquan vase stand on a short foot rim with a recessed base. The outer footrim is slightly shaved inward. From the footrim, it everted upward into a bulbous body and then narrow upward to a long thin neck with a slightly widen rim mouth. Longquan vase of such shape is harder to come by compared to the longquan/celadon plate or bowl. There are very minute glaze friting as shown in picture no. 5 and manufacturing fault/bubble burst as shown in picture 4 and 5. Some wear and abrasion with glaze crazing as shown in all the photographs. There are no chip, crack or restoration. Generally considered to be in good condition. This is a small Ming dynasty moulded sancai funerary covered box with ribbed sides. On top of the covered box, it has a moulded design of the plum blossom or meiping plant with flowers. It has a low footrim with a mildly recessed base. It also has a square seal mark which reads as "Da Ming Nian Zhao" from left to right instead of the usual right to left. As a funerary object, abrasion, minor chips(see picture no.5) and minor production flaws can be expected. With the exception of the minor chip, overall it is good condition as shown in the photographs. The dimension of the sancai covered box: the height is about 5.6cm and the diameter is about 10 cm. Two pieces of very nice and symbolic shard from the Ming dynasty. The first shard to the left, has a coin design in the centre of the bowl with the lotus lappet surrounding it. The second shard, to the right, shows a lotus flower in full bloom. The lotus is considered a scared flower to the buddhist - a symbol of purity and perfection. In general it is a symbol of summer and fruitfullness. So both shard has a very symbolic meaning to it. Condition as shown in the photographs. The dimension of the shard: the first with coin design in the centre is about 9cm and the one with the lotus flower design is about 9.9cm. Shard - Small Bowl With Lanca Characters or Scripts This is a small shard bowl with the Tibetan lanca charcters or scripts. In the center of the bowl, it has a single large lanca character. All around the cavetto and on the outside of the bowl, it is covered all round with the same script lanca characters. At the back of the recess foot rim, it shows an embalm of a mace with ribbons. This dates the bowl to the emperor Kangxi reign, Qing Dynasty. The high quality of the glaze and porcelain used suggest that this is possibly an official or "guan yao" bowl. The cross section of the shard shows that the procelain used is extremely white and of very high quality. This small bowl shard would make a fine specimen study piece. Slightly of gobular body with two lug handles and a spout in the form of chicken's head with a neck. It has a looped slender handle and a averted mouth rim. The dark olive glazed stopped before the foot-rim exposing the red stoneware earth. The flatten base is slightly shrinking inward. Generally in good condition. No repair, chip or restoration. This is a tall and handsome classical pouch ewer from the Liao dynasty(907-1125). It is of museum quality standing on a splay foot rim with recessed base rising upwards to a slander bulging side body with a long vertical spout with straight mouth rim and a rounded pinched handle. The whole pouch ewer is coated with dark amber glaze on a white colour slip stopping short of the splay foot rim showing the reddish colour stoneware. The stoneware pouch ewer simulates a leather form of the pouch. There are no chip, repair or restoration. There is some firing fault, degradation, glaze crazing and minor losses as shown in all the photograps. Minor scattered oxidisatio and irridescent as shown in all the photographs.
