circa: 1890 width: 41 height: 45 length: 20 This beautiful mahogany antique bow front dresser was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890 and recently hand-restored in England by a team of master craftsmen. The mahogany displays a fine, rich grain and lustrous complexion, which the rosewood banding around the bow front top accents quite wonderfully. Solid brass hardware also forms a nice contrast with the mahogany and rosewood, while the canted corners, which are also rosewood, help to give the bow front antique dresser its elegant shape. Because this antique dresser is over a century old, it has had time to develop a lovely patina, which enriches the distinct mahogany and rosewood grains and complexions, which should only continue to grow more beautiful with time. A classic two-over-three drawer design offers plenty of storage space in this dresser, with each drawer featuring hand-cut dovetailed joints. Sturdy splayed feet provide strong support. Because of the skillful restoration, this antique dresser is also in near-flawless condition. The perfect combination of antique charm and modern functionality, this mahogany antique bow front dresser would make a fantastic addition to any home furniture collection! « Less

circa: 1890 width: 35 height: 34 length: 21 This beautiful antique rosewood-banded mahogany dresser was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890 and recently restored by More »
circa: 1890 width: 35 height: 34 length: 21 This beautiful antique rosewood-banded mahogany dresser was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890 and recently restored by a third-generation English cabinetmaker. Over the years, the wood has developed a lovely patina that has come to enrich the wispy mahogany grain and warm, lustrous complexion. Complementing the mahogany is rosewood banding around the top, while this dresser also features subtle wooden knobs and sits on elegant and sturdy shaped bracket feet. Each of the three large drawers provide a generous amount of storage space and feature hand-cut dovetailed joints. Because this dresser has been restored, it retains much of its original lustre--and perhaps more, given how beautifully it has aged. There only remain a few stress marks here and there (see pictures). At a perfect size for storage as well as convenience, this rosewood-banded mahogany dresser would look great in just about any situation and it will certainly last another hundred years if cared for, so it would make a fine investment for any home furniture collection! « Less

circa: 1900 width: 40 height: 42 length: 19 This beautiful Regency style mahogany dresser was hand-crafted from solid wood in Edwardian England around 1900 and recently restored by a team of master craftsmen. Over the years, the wood has developed a rich patina that enhances the lustrous mahogany complexion and distinct, wispy grain. Solid-brass swan neck pulls and pierced backplates form a wonderful complement to the mahogany, while the fluted edges and canted, reeded corners are characteristic of the Regency style. The classic two-over-three drawer design offers plenty of storage space, and each of the large drawers features hand-cut dovetailed joints, which indicate fine craftsmanship. Shaped bracket feet provide sturdy support that ensures this dresser will remain standing for generations to come. The restoration was performed excellently, and there is no noticeable wear beyond some very minor veneer bubbling and a single age split. Age splits are purely cosmetic phenomena that do not affect structural integrity and result, as the term indicates, from age. This fantastic Regency style mahogany dresser would make a fine addition to any home! « Less

circa: 1820 width: 49 height: 45 length: 21 This antique mahogany dresser was bench-made in England around 1820, during the Georgian period, and recently hand-restored by a team of master craftsmen before being imported to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta, GA. The mahogany and satinwood banding, having developed a lovely, two-century patina that enriches the distinct grain and complexion of the wood, looks especially beautiful because the restorers have given it a new French polish. The new solid brass hardware also contrasts quite well with the dresser and is in keeping with hardware that would have been used during the Georgian period. Indeed, the overall design of this dresser is definitively Georgian, as it is constructed in a simple yet elegant straight front design that would complement any home furniture collection. As useful as it is beautiful, this Georgian mahogany dresser was made with a traditional two-over-three drawer design, with each of the strong drawers featuring hand-cut dovetailed joints, which was a common feature in antique furniture that signified fine craftsmanship. The shaped apron and bracket feet, which are original to the dresser, also look wonderful and provide sturdy support. Because of an excellent hand-performed restoration, this Georgian mahogany dresser remains in the excellent shape it will need to be in to function beautifully for another two centuries, so take advantage of this opportunity to make it a part of your home today! « Less
