Period Antique English oak lowboy, This antique "English lowboy" dates from the late 18th century and is made from oak. This period "lowboy" has lovely lines and is a wonderful size at 31 and one quarter inches wide,20 and one half inches deep and 28 and one half inches high. Period Antique American Federal Sideboard, this Period American "Hepplewhite sideboard" dates from the late 18th to very early 19 century and is a rare size at 54 inches wide and 24 inches deep and 39 and three quarter inches high. This sideboard is in mint condition with an old warm finish. There is a fine line inlay down its long tapered legs and inset inlay around the edge of its single board mahogany top. Constructed from mahogany,secondary wood is pine set with hand made rose head nails and the drawers have wide hand cut dovetails and thick hand chamfered drawer bottoms. The hardware has been replace with good period reproductions which is quite normal. This is the first sideboard this size we have been able to offer for sale in our 30 years of selling fine period antiques. Just in from at Connecticut estate.   « Less

Antique French ormolu gooseneck recamier, This wonderful Antique French furniture piece is called a "Recamier" and dates from the middle to late 19th century. All the bronze pieces are covered with ormolu. Excellent castings and condition. This "French Recamier" was obviously made by a master craftsman. This antique French recamier measures 28 inches deep, is 36 inches at the highest point. The eagle feet measure14 inches. From the floor to the top cushion measures 26 inches high and measures 19 and one half inches high to the top of the bottom cushion. The shorter side measures 26 and one half inches high and this antique French day bed measures 74 and one half inches long overall.   « Less

This antique arm chair measures 19 and one half inches to the seat top. This Windsor chair measures 34 inches high overall and is 20 and one half inches deep at the legs,front to back. Empire furniture, French Second Empire sofa. This wonderful French Empire sofa is in pristine original condition. Dates from circa 1870 with splay legs. The malachite green cut velvet upholstery is historically appropriate and in excellent condition. This sofa retains its original bronze ormolu ornamental mountings. Extremely well made. Elegant and formal but comfortable. It measures 76 wide outside, 60 wide inside, 42 high to the back, 21 high to the seat, 30 deep outside, and 24 and 1/2 inside.   « Less

Antique Nautical Camphor Wood Lap Roll Top Desk. This antique Maritime Lap Desk has original brass hardware and a monogrammed brass plate on top. This antique lap desk measures 18 inches wide is 14 and one quarter inches deep and measures 8 and one quarter inches high at the highest point. The actual felt covered desk top measures 16 and one quarter inches wide and is 14 inches deep. The drawer of this antique lap roll top desk measures 15 and one quarter inches wide inside and is 1 and one quarter inches high. The drawer extends outward, 6 and three quarter inches. The drawer has a key which locks it, and when pulled open, unrolls the roll top to expose a storage box which lifts up and locks in place with a wooden locking system.
