Eight American Hepplewhite style wheat carved dining chairs c1880 to1900. A true set of eight hand made solid matched mahogany Federal style dining room chairs, consisting of two arm and six side chairs. Strong, comfortable and in pristine condition. This set is unsigned but the quality of Margolis, Nutting or Fineburg. The arm chairs each measure 38 and three quarter inches high, 18 and three quarter inches to the top of their upholstered seats,22 inches wide and 18 inches deep. The side chairs each measure 37 and three quarter inches high by 17 inches deep, 20 inches wide and 18 and three quarter inches to the top of their seats.   « Less

American Federal work table, bible stand c1822 Joel Curtis. This period mahogany work stand is attributed to Joel Curtis in NY c1822. Excellent condition with superior solid mahogany top and curved cut out sides. The base has a center turned pedestal that ends in four fluted legs. The bottom has lovely large hand cut dovetails and original brass casters. Measures 32 and three quarter inches high by 22 and one half inches wide, and 16 and one quarter inches deep. Replaced brasses. One of the best pieces of Period American Federal furniture we have come across in a long time.   « Less

Antique Period American country painted pine six board blanket chest c1790. This is the only six board blanket chest or trunk we have seen with a secret compartment. The left inside drawer is fake. When you remove the right drawer and pull out the center divider you can access the secret drawer as shown in one of the pictures provided. This blanket chest has its old red wash and is dovetailed on all four sides. Excellent original condition including hinges and lock. No repairs or restoration. Period Country French tax collectors table c1800. This table measures 39 inches wide by 37 inches deep by 29 inches high. This country farm table has a wonderful old waxed patina. Tax tables were brought out on wagons into the fields and set up to collect taxes from the local farmers. This antique 19th century Queen Anne style solid mahogany torchiere candle stand measures 40 and one half inches high and 9 and three quarter inches across its top. The lovely long fluted column ends in a tripod snake foot base. This stand is quite strong and could support a large plant if one wished to use it as a fern stand. Hand made from solid mahogany. Antique early Irish furniture dairy table c1820 to 1840. This is a superb piece of true period antique Irish pine. It has a wonderful old waxed finish, and is in great condition. The top is made from two wide boards.The frame has mortise and pin construction, and there are wide hand cut dovetails on the back board and drawer sides. This form is quite rare and it is the only one we have ever had the opportunity to offer. It measures 61 inches wide, 27 and one half inches deep, 30 and one half inches to the the work surface, 35 and one half inches to the top of the backsplash, 7 inches to the bottom rack surface. There are 12 inches between the rack and the apron below the drawers. One drawer is 31 and one half by 7 inches, and twodrawers are 9 by 7 inches. The back of the milk bench is finished so it could be attractively used as an island in the center of a kitchen. The top is a great work surface, and the milk rack is perfect for crockery and copper pots. It would also work beautifully in a potting room for arranging flowers.   « Less

Early Spanish Hispanic Furniture. This 17th century antique "Catalan walnut dining table" is in excellent condition with just a few minor repairs done during its 300 year lifespan. First quarter of the 17th century. This early antique Catalan table was made from solid walnut. The original top is amazing single walnut board. The original iron braces end in hand forged leaves. The legs have wonderful hand carved decorativedetail. This is a very rare piece of Spanish furniture. This table measures 55 inches long by 33 and three quarter inches deep and 32 and one quarter inches high. The top is an astounding two inches thick and the leg supports have huge floating dovetails that go all across the underside. This dovetailed joint has kept the top perfectly flat over 3 centuries.   « Less

This chair has a high back, cut out center splat and large bulbous turnings to its legs. Excellent condition. A very comfortable chair for anyone to sit in for long periods of time.
