This is an elegant gilded oval mirror made during the second half of the 19th century by the end of the reign of Napoleon III. This very decorative piece is mounted by an appealing cartouche centering a medallion flanked by pierced carved acanthus leaves standing above the gadrooned frame surrounding the original non-beveled mirror. Please note minor dark spots here and there on the mirror due to the age. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 33 ½"(height)/ 22 ½"(width).
