Hey Daddy-O, check out this fab seat! Windsor chair in the style of Paul McCobb in iron and wood with upholstered seat. Upholstery is in excellent condition and very attractive. Chair has no issues. The finish on all the metal is uniform.
This chair is a fantastic and unusual design for and has enough cues from traditional designs to integrate into anything from traditional country to a stricly mid-century modern room. Excellent in a living room or a bedroom, or anywhere else that you could want an armchair.
It is particularly good for smaller spaces where you may want a particularly light footprint. With its overall 'see-throughness', it will not impede the rest of your interior.
DIMENSIONS: 23.25 W x 20 D x 15.5 Seat Height; 32.5 Overall Height; Arm height is 23.75 inches « Less

Circa 1880. Tall, Victorian, mirrored cabinet in solid mahogany. This is one of the most striking and unusual pieces of 19th century American furniture we have ever owned. Very high quality, with exceptionally detailed cabinetry in a deceptively simple design. All the drama of this piece on first viewing is the sheer size. It stands nine feet ( 108") tall but only 49" wide at the widest point (top of crown). The next thing that you see is the five sections of mirror, perfect for display or books, each with a single large central star, that are flat on the face side but deeply cut in the shape of a starburst from the backside. The cabinet has two doors and two drawers with original brass hardware. The door has a working lock and key. There is a repair on the door which we have made to fill a hole left by an inappropriate piece of hardware that we removed. All of the panels on the front and sides of the cabinet and on the columns that hold the four narrow shelves are an unusual raised panel in what I would call a pyramid shape. This fine piece of antique furniture also retains it's original pine plank back which is finished on the interior of the cabinet The cabinet also has it's original central shelf. Very good over-all condition with some old repairs and restorations, and some unevenness to the moldings around the drawers that could be fixed if desired. We have re-glued and re-polished the entire cabinet so that everything looks and functions well, much better and more even toned in person than the pictures which were difficult to take and light on such a tall, narrow piece of furniture. 108" tall x 46" wide at the base x 26" deep. Price 4800. « Less

Circa 1890. Exceptional, Late Victorian carved oak arm chair. We do not usually buy oak but this chair is such high quality, so beautifully carved and in such superb condition we could not resist. Solid quarter-sawn (tiger) oak, with a center frieze in the hand carved back splat of a gargoyle surrounded by leaves, nuts and other flourishes. The fine curved arms end in deeply carved fantasy creatures. The back turned spindles have a "beehive" design as does the top finials, legs and stretcher. This wonderful chairs last detail is round ball finials beneath the seat. This turn of the century American masterpiece is a rich golden oak in very fine original condition that we have lightly re-polished. Signed on the bottom "Heywood Bros" which became Heywood Wakefield in 1897. Sturdy and comfortable with no breaks or repairs. 45 " tall x 27"wide x 25" deep. Price 895. « Less

Circa 1900. Tall, elegant marble pedestal in a Classical taste. This finely grained and colored marble column has all the fine details that are found in the best pieces of this Period such as a bold "Greek Key" pattern and fine turned rings and octagon base all in a deceptively simple marble column. The two large parts are carved twists and the bottom cylinder has deep cut ovals. Estate fresh and in beautiful "as found" condition with no damage or repairs. This Late Victorian pedestal/plant stand and the other one we have just listed from the same home, both come apart for easier shipping. The low retail price of this fine stand is a reflection of the good price at which we purchased it and not it's fine quality and condition. 38 1/2" tall x 9" square top. Price 700.00 « Less

Circa 1900. Tall, fine marble pedestal in an unusual shape and color. This brown and white marble pedestal is a bit more elaborate than the standard Late Victorian pedestals we are used to seeing, with the top section in the form of rounded stacked shapes, then a central element that is a ring of carved leaves and grapes under which is a more usual twisted column. The turned base is an octagon with turned rings and deep oval indentations. This fine classical pedestal is estate fresh and in extremely fine original condition with no chips, damages or repairs and only light marking on the top edges from actual use. This pedestal and another that we are listing today, were locally purchased this week at a very reasonable price which is reflected in our low price but which is not a reflection on its high quality and fine original condition. 40" tall x 9" square top.
