Large pearlware arbor group, ‘Perswaision’, showing a stylish couple seated on a garden seat, on a grassy base with a bocage hedge behind, enamelled in bright colours and with touches of copper lustre.
Circa 1815-25.
References: The base has originally had feet, but these were removed when one became detached in the kiln - this is evident in the green enamels which have run over the space where it should have been. Examples exist with both short legs and no legs. Refer Halfpenny
