This is a very fine American early 19th century New York Sheraton mahogany & mahogany veneered formal commode with a delicate finely reeded top board, one finely dovetailed long mahogany drawer, with two mahogany banded doors below opening to a large storage space, with refined inlaid flame crotched mahogany base case banding & all formed on four refined elegantly turned & reeded legs, with three elongated diamond inlaid escutcheons on the commode front. Circa: 1800-1815 Overall excellent condition. This lovely commode is a high style piece of 19th century New York Sheraton furniture which is both practical for modern 21st century daily use & a difficult antique form to find.
