Lovely Pair of Circa 1920 Wall Sconces
Pair of regal bearing wall sconces, with a crown design at the top, and hammered backplates. Nicer still that these are DOUBLE arm wall sconces, with nice original shades...which is getting a bit harder to find complete. Everyone seems to change them to candle sconces for ease of production, since usually one or more shades have disappeared.
Some mixed metals are being used here, but all with a pewter High/Low finish which is very attractive.
The antique shades are very nice, with an off-white background and yellow and gold designs. Some minimum design fading as expected with old shades, but nothing terribly significant.
Measurements:
* Height: 9 ¼"
* Width: 9 ½" (maximum, including the shade)
* Projection: 5 ¾" from the wall into the room.
These sconces have been completely rewired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new original twisty rayon wire (visible in the pictures). We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20s...and still made up to ONE year ago. So these Leviton switches are becoming even more antique as we note this.
$533.50 for the complete pair...plus shipping.
$25.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

Art Deco Streamline Single Light Pendent
Aged Nickel finished single light pendent, with amber inserted glass window. The amber glass window is simply so iconic with its circular ring motif.
This fixture is perfect for a smaller room.
Measurements:
* Height: 12"
* Diameter: 10" overall, measuring the metal part of the shade.
This fixture is lit by a single standard socket within that will accept a 100 watt light bulb. We did not power it up for pictures, as too strong of a bulb blows out the focus of our camera lens. We always use small 25 watt or lower bulbs in our pictures so the details of the light fixture itself are revealed.
We completely rewired this wonderful light in our UL shop.
$324.50...plus careful packing and shipping.

Lovely Pair of Circa 1930s Wall Sconces
Original antique backplates, and original antique shades.
These sconces have a formal Edwardian ambiance, and have a pewter look that is so typical of the Edwardian design style.
The original antique shades are simple, with a typical cream coloring below that transitions to a band of embossed clear glass at the top and bottom.
The metal of the backplates is cast zinc and aluminum with a lovely pewter finish.
Measurements:
* Height: 11 ¼"
* Width: 5 ½" maximum, including the shade. Backplate width is 4 ¾".
* Projection: 6 ¼" from the wall into the room.
Ready to go...nothing needs to be done, except add the light bulbs of your choice. These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire. Can use any standard light bulb...but...we like to suggest using size G45 light bulbs. We suggest this size because it is low profile, which will help prevent a bulb from peeking over the rim of the shade. Just a final, nicer, touch.
$434.50 for the complete pair of UL rewired sconces...plus shipping.

Antique Art Deco Five Light Chandelier Circa 1920-30s
Nice five light Deco era chandelier with drop-in, light amber shades with clear borders.
Cast Metal is nicely finished in a pewter finish, which works nicely with the light amber/clear border shades. A rather nice chandelier with curvilinear aspects. Wonderful condition.
The shades are in good condition. Co-existing at the same time as slip shade lighting, this was a fashion that had a more reliable and safer mounting shade than slip shades. There was, and sometimes is, a preference for this type of shade for a more traditional look.
Measurements:
* Height: 24"
* Spread: 21 ½"
This fixture can be lengthened by adding more stem length. Please contact us for pricing.
This chandelier has been totally rewired in our UL shop with high grade sockets and new central lead wire. Note that the wire was threaded through the arms to the center cluster body where they are joined, and then one central lead wire goes up to the canopy for mounting. Capable of up to 100 watts per socket, for a total of 500 watts. The picture was taken only with 11 watt bulbs, so as to not blow out the focus and allow the frame details to show through.
Price for this completely re-wired UL antique chandelier with amber/clear border shades: $825.00 plus careful shipping.
$50.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

This is a fine seascape by well known 19th Century artist William H Williamson (1820-1883). This painting of fishing boats entering the harbour was probably done at the height of hi career in the 1850/60's when his art work was exhibited at The Royal Academy. Williamson's work continues to be popular. At auction his work has exceeded for a small pair of oils £7000 at Sotherby's has and single paintings have past £2000 at Christie's in London. This is a rare chance to purchase a quality 19th century oil on board by a highly regarded artist. The painting measures 47 cm wide and is 32 cm high. « Less
