A wonderful large and vibrant coloured Retro Scottish Strathearn/ Vasart / Monart
Tulip Lamp with millefiori canes; nice to find one which is brightly coloured and this will look fantastic
when lit - wire cut and will need re-wiring (we can do this for you at cost if you ask).
Circa: 1943-63 - please look at the link and satisfy yourself that our description is correct before buying on this item
Good Vintage Condition - needs rewiring as mentioned earlier
10.25 inches (26cm) height X 6 inches (15.5cm) dia approx
Large heavy item - we always refund any excess shipping back automatically
Please note that the base is pinched up to allow the wire to pase underneath which was done
with tongs during the manufacturing process (the Perthshire reproductions of 1980's
have a channel or groove ground underneath to do the same job). I am also including
an image of the base with the holder removed to allow you see the fitting hole. Please satisfy yourself that our research is correct and our translation of the research is also correct

A nice pair of Art Deco sconces made by Markel Electric Products of Buffalo, New York in the mid 30s.
These sconces were part of Markel's 4870 line from his catalog of 1936. They are wonderfully cast in iron, and have the original gold gilt finish with some minor imperfections which are not significant other than to show their history.
The shades are amber, and in good...remarkable...condition.
These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and rotary switches. Sockets can easily handle 100 watt incandescent bulbs. However, if you choose to use incandescent light bulbs, we recommend no more than 60 to 65 watts to protect the glass glass from excessive heat.
Measurements:
Height: 11" from the top of the shade to the bottom of the ring finial.
Width: 4 ½" (maximum)
Projection: 6" from the wall into the room.
All mounting hardware will be supplied.
$825.00 for the complete re-wired pair of antique sconces with amber shades...plus $25.00 for Ground Shipping to addresses within the contiguous 48 states.
