This antique Chinese porcelain Swatow ware blue and white flower bowl is 8-3/4" in diameter, 1-7/8" high. It was made about 300-400 years ago. The condition is very good for such an old item. There is uniform crazing on the front and back and rough inclusions on the bottom, characteristic of this ware.
I have two other similar Swatow blue and white flower bowls, same size, so please inquire if you are interested.

This charming German porcelain figurine is 11" tall, including the base which is 3-3/8" in diameter. The mark on the bottom is N with a crown and a green line under the N. This is German, not Capodimonte. The figure is draped in flowing classical robes. In her right hand she is holding a crown of flowers over her head. She is completely hand painted and dates to approximately the late 19th century. The condition of the figure itself is good. Except for a chip on one of the rose petals on the base and a possibly missing flower on the back of the crown, which is quite common, I do not see any chips or cracks.

This is a Hall's English toffee candy tin, in the form of an 18th century inlaid faux wood box with two original ceramic inkwells and tools inside. The inkwell insert lifts out, so that stationery, etc. could be stored in the bottom. It is 5" high, 9-1/4" wide x 5-1/4". This piece dates to about 1900-30. The inside of the lid is marked with the Hall's "State" Toffee advertising. There are some scrapes around the body, consistent with age. This is not an item for children, since the edge of the lid is sharp, and care must be taken when opening it. It is unusual to find this tin with the original inkwell inserts, especially in such good condition. Please remember that this is an antique, and absolute perfection should not be expected.
I have 20-30 advertising tins, so please feel free to inquire or to ask other questions. « Less

This miniature violin in wood case is vintage folk art. The case is 7-1/2" long, 1-9/16" high. The case is oak, and the violin is maple, with burl wood on top and tiger maple on the bottom. The grains of the woods are carefully matched on both the violin and the case. The types of wood used indicate an American origin. The close up of the violin scroll clearly reveals hand work. It is difficult to determine the exact age, but it is probably mid 20th century or a little earlier. The condition is excellent for a vintage item. The violin strings appear to be cotton, and one of the strings has popped.

This is an antique sterling silver tea ball infuser with a repousse lid. The maker is Watrous, which became part of International Silver in 1898, so the tea ball probably predates 1898. It measures 1.7" high x 1.6" in diameter. There are elaborate star patterns pierced on the sides and a large petal pattern pierced on the bottom. It weighs 28.4 g or 18.3 dwt. or .9 troy ounces. The lid closes securely. The condition is very good, no tears, just one or two shallow dings on the body. This is, after all, a true antique over 100 years old, and perfection should not be expected.

This is an unusual vintage Japanese Oribe art pottery round bowl with a spout, about 6-1/4" in diameter, 1-3/4" high. There are three holes intentionally placed, two on the front and one in the back. It is possible that the bowl was made to hold a hanging plant, and the spout allows the drained water to be poured off. The body has characteristic wheat colored body decorated with green and brown designs. There is also characteristic fine crackling in the wheat colored section. There are no chips or cracks. There is a signature on the bottom which I have not identified. This could date any time from the late 19th to mid 20th century. « Less
