The body's recessed panels feature raised flower and fern detailing. This box newel post is in very good antique condition with the expected wear, as shown, and is stained a beautiful brown. Fantastic antique five-light chandelier dating from the early 1900's and found in a home in Athens, GA. This light fixture begins with an understated canopy, which extends down in a fluted rod to an oversized tassel finial. Beneath it, the disc-shaped body features five arms ornamented with beautifully cast foliates and bead-and-reel detailing. Leafy shade holders suspend below each arm and hold frosted shades accented with stylized petals. This light fixture is in very good antique condition with a beautifully aged finish. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures approximately 19" wide and 41" tall. Found in a home in Nashville, the cover features understated motifs with beautifully cast details in the form of oval medallions surrounded by foliate details, ribbons and bellflowers. A raised ring perches at the top of the cover and surrounds a circular door featuring a wreath enveloped fleur-de-lis. A beautiful example of an early 1900’s American leaded glass transom. The transom features a variety of textured sun purpled glass, surrounding a stylized shield at its center. The glass is in very good antique condition with a slight bow in one corner that does not detract from the beauty of the piece, as pictured. Some of the glass has turned a lavender hue due to sun exposure (sometimes called “sun purple” glass). The wooden frame is in good antique condition and has some chipped and peeling paint as pictured. The transom measures 42-1/8” wide, 17-1/8” tall; the glass measures 37-3/4” wide and 13-5/8” tall. It features a geometric design of amber and green granite glass diamond shapes across the top with a small red granite glass diamond accent at the center. The background consists of multicolored slag glass that has some hints of yellow and green, complementing the amber glass found throughout the window nicely. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, and the frame is in very good antique condition with some paint splatters and slight peeling paint. This pan light fixture begins with an urn shaped upper body; below, four beautifully cast chandelier arms support bell-shaped shade holders with sheffield-style shades. The chandelier finishes with a gadrooned center medallion; the fifth light suspends from its center. This light fixture is in very good condition with some wear and small dents as pictured; the shades are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
