For sale I have a beautiful Milky White Opalescent Glass Vase made by The Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The Vase is handmade. The piece is rather tall at 10 7/8" and is the opening is approximately 4 1/4" in Diameter. The base has a diameter of 3 3/8". This is either Northwood's White Opalescent Glass or Opal Milk Glass. The pattern name is "Tree Trunk" and it dates from 1907-1908. You see this style in Tree Trunk on Ebay all the time but it doesn;t have the Northwood Mark. Realize many companies copied each other as there was no good trademark control. This piece is an Authentic piece of Northwood. The piece is in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. This is the perfect size for some beautiful Flowers. The piece is signed on the bottom with Northwood's N Underlined in a circle mark. This Vase is well documented as there is an example of it on page 149 of the Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass, the 4th Edition. You often find the values of these in Carnival Glass Reference books as this form was predominately made for the Carnival Glass Market. Here is your chance to own a wonderful piece of Art Glass that is 100 years old and made by one of the Great Master's In American Art Glass.   « Less

This listing is for a beautiful pink budvase with a gold rose decoration. The manufacturer of this vase is not known for certain, although it could be Central's No. 1320/168, Morgantown's No. 305 Luana, or a Tiffin blank. Most major glass companies during the depression era made bud vases that were very similar and sometimes they could only be accurately identified by the etching. I have not been able to verify the maker of the gold decoration on this vase, and in fact, many decorating companies such as Lotus and Wheeling bought blanks from the major glass companies, decorated them, and sold them with their label, making it very difficult to identify similar items such as this.The pink vase is 10" tall, with no chips, flakes, cracks, or fleabites. There is minor gold wear to the rim band and moderate gold wear to the band on the foot. The gold rose decoration is in very good condition.
