We have for sale an extra nice kitchen clock that sets on a shelf. The clock looks new. It is used but it is not an antique. It is in mint condition. There is no fading on the painting on the glass door. The wood is not crack or chip. The clock is an 8 day clock that strikes on the hour and half hourand come with a key. We do not know the who the maker is or the date it was made. It stands 22 inches tall by 15 inches by 5 1/4 inches and weighs 9 pounds.We will figure shipping with UPS ground. Superb antique 3 piece French gilt bronze and porcelain clock set. The face of the clock is signed Roy & Fill 15 Palais Royal Paris. There is additional writing on the bottom of the clock face. Other than a miniscule hairline near the Roman Numeral V, the beautiful hand painted porcelain clock face is in excellent condition. It has inset hand painted porcelain plaques with cherubs and flowers further decorating its magnificent composition. The clock set has two gilt bronze and porcelain signed urns. The urns have gilt bronze mask faces on the sides and an ornate decorative top and bottom. The porcelain paintings depict two courting couples in pastel colors with a landscape background. The urns are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. The urns are signed in the bronze PH. MOUREY. The urns measure 13-1/4 inches high, 5-1/4 inches widest width, and 4-1/4 inches deep. The clock measures 13-1/4 inches high, 12-3/4 inches widest width, and 5 inches deep. Clock sets like these are very rare they hardly ever come to the market. Exquisite circa 1800 French gilt bronze angel blacksmith making arrows. This is a unique clock in superb condition depicting a beautiful angel hammering arrowheads on his anvil. He is a metal working angel with all of his tools. On the sides of the clock face is a storage area for the angel's tools. He has files, hammers, and other tools used by a blacksmith in the 18th century. Whoever designed this clock was a true master. The clock is signed on the face M. Housse Fils a Amiens. The angel making the arrows measures 10-1/2 inches from the top of his head to the bottom of his foot, wingspan 4 inches. From the base to the top of the angel's hammer it measures 16-3/4 inches. The clock has a width of 12-3/4 inches and a depth of 4-1/2 inches. The front of the clock has a beautiful high relief sculptured scene with 2 cherubs and a beehive. One cherub is shooting an arrow into the beehive and the other cherub is holding a flaming torch to smoke the bees out so that they may enjoy the sweet honey inside. On either side of the central sculpture are 2 high relief decorative applications depicting crossed flaming torches with a quiver and arrows in the center tied together with a large ribbon. The clock rests on four adjustable round feet. The quality of the sculpture and the unique theme make it one of the most desirable circa 1800 French gilt bronze angel clocks extant. This clock has its original pendulum and key and is in excellent condition. All French clocks of this period ring one bell at the 1/2 hour and exact number of bells for actual time. For example 8:00 would ring 8 bells. This is a rare 18th century silk suspension French movement with one of the most beautiful sculptured angels you might ever hope to find. Exquisite circa 1800 gilt bronze French clock depicting a standing Orpheus playing a lute. On the other side of the clock is a very ornate stringed instrument leaning against a pedestal. The clock has high relief sculptured flowers, torches, wreaths, a swan, and other decorative designs sculptured in high relief on the front of the clock. The clock is lacking the pendulum and key but appears to be in very good working condition. Replacement pendulum and keys are available from most clock makers. The backing that would normally cover the movement is no longer there, but clocks like this are normally placed in front of a wall so you would not see the back anyway. Overall very good condition depicting a very handsome and beautifully sculptured figure of Orpheus. The face of the clock is very unseal being that it is gilt bronze in the center with a porcelain dial. The porcelain dial has a couple of hairlines but otherwise its perfect. This is a very high quality circa 1800 French gilt bronze mantel clock measuring 20-1/2 inches high, 13-1/2 inches wide, and 5-1/4 inches deep. Weight 30 lbs. This is a beautiful and very decorative French clock that will surely be welcomed addition to any collection. Circa 1800 magnificent Mercury gilt dore bronze angel clock. This is the most beautifully detailed French Empire silk suspension movement clock we have ever seen. The angel is plucking his harp, to his left is a trumpet and a stack of books, to his right are some scrolls. The face of the clock is beautifully engraved. The numbers are porcelain and hand painted and inset on the clock face. Below the clock and the angel is a bearded figure in full relief encircled by a floral wreath. To the sides of the wreath are flaming torches. To either side of the bearded figure are two scrolls. The first scroll is engraved Voltaire. The second scroll is engraved Oride. The third scroll is engraved Virgile. The fourth scroll is engraved Arioste. Height 20-1/2 inches, length of base 15 inches, width of base 4-3/4 inches. The quality of the casting and the detail of this clock indicates it may have been made for French Royalty between the 1790's and 1800. When one observes the sweet expression on the angels face and the phenomenal attention paid to the detailing of this clock, one will realize that this is a museum quality treasure. Magnificent antique 3 piece French clock set. This is a rare, original example. We have seen reproductions of this clock. This one is guaranteed to be original and circa 1800. The associated candelabras are 6 lights meaning they hold six candles each. The face of the clock is signed and also marked Paris. Please click picture for enlargements to show signature. The clock is beautifully designed with two bronze flying cherubs holding wreaths decorating the face of the clock. The cherubs are in flight and extremely lifelike. The clock measures 20 inches high, 11-3/4 inches wide and 6-1/2 inches deep. The candelabras at one time may have been electrified or were prepaired to be wired. There is a small hole at the bottom of the candelabra just above the cherubs hand and a small hole on the back of the cherubs shoulder. Most likely this was intended to be wired and electrified. These candelabras were made more than 100 years before electricity was invented. The candelabras measures 26-3/4 inches high, 11 inches wide at the widest point at the top, and 7 inches deep. This is an extraordinary clock set fit for a king. If you have been looking for a superb clock set with beautiful candelabras you have found it here. Antique three piece French clock set consisting of a signed French clock inscribed Societe Excelsior. The clock is in the form of a chariot wheel. You can see the clock movement through its front glass cover. The spokes of the chariot wheel are gilt bronze. Above the chariot wheels stands a winged cherub holding reins attached to bits held in the mouths of two male lions that are pulling the chariot. The gilt bronze chariot is further adorned with a lion head holding a gilt bronze bar that supports the gilt bronze ropes that the lions are pulling. The top of the chariot is further adorned with a shell-like structure to its front, a tassel to its back and a fully cast winged long-tailed dragon carving at the back of the chariot. The chariot, cherub and lions are mounted on a Sienna marble base with gilt bronze decoration. The Sienna marble base has gilt bonze feet and very ornate decorative applications on the front. The clock is accompanied with two matching gilt and patinated bronze and Sienna marble five-light candelabras. This is one of the most beautiful and elegant early 19th Century clock sets that we have ever had the pleasure to offer. Superb condition worthy of the finest collection. Superb antique French clock circa 1800. The clock is gilt bronze and depicts a seated nude gladiator holding his sword wearing his helmet with a cloak modestly draped over his leg. The base of the clock has beautiful high relief sculptress depicting wreaths and another high relief gladiator head within an intricate design. The clock has its original gold and silvered dial with black Roman numerals and black markers. The clock face is signed BERNARD & FILS A BORDEAUX. The clock has its original pendulum and a replacement key. As all French clocks of this period it strike on the 1/2 hour and the number of hours on the hour. The seated male gladiator is beautifully sculptured. Whoever created this sculpture had remarkable knowledge of human anatomy to create such a beautiful sculpture. The sculpture is further decorated with the gladiator's shield and spears resting against the clock. This is a superb clock in excellent condition as good as you could possibly hope to find one of this age. It is very high quality showing great detail including the beveling of the glass protecting the clock face. The clock measures 19 inches high, 12-3/8 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Superb circa 1800 gilt bronze French clock depicting a knowledgeable lady holding a heart with her left foot resting on a book. She represents a teacher in the life of Cupid. The clock is adorned with high relief sculptured designs. The central design has musical instruments. The two designs on either side of the musical design have flowers, wreaths, ribbons and arrows. The clock has its original pendulum and bell, and a working key. The clock is in immaculate condition and works great. It measures 19-3/4 inches high to the top of the lady's head. It measures 16-1/2 inches high to the top of Cupid's head. The clock is 15-1/2 inches wide and 5-1/2 inches deep. Cupid by himself measures 9-1/2 inches tall, his wingspan 5-1/2 inches wide. His teacher looks adoringly at Cupid as she teaches him music and how to play instruments. Behind Cupid's feet rests his arrow quiver and arrows. The beautiful mercury gilt finish is original to the clock and was applied circa 1800 when the clock was made. The sculpture quality is extraordinary. The figures look alive.
