Probably 1940 or so...this over the sink light has lot of design and style appeal.
Judging by the original socket and wiring, which we replaced in our UL shop, it does have age to it.
This fixture takes two normal medium based light bulbs in a porcelain double socket.
The plug at the bottom has been stubbed off, and is not live. We consider it dangerous, since we believe that the only plugs that should be allowed in a bathroom should be GFI protected.
This fixture mounts on a normal crossbar, with two decorative knobs that can be seen in one of the pictures.
The shades are opal white, with lots of nice embossed decor. Very stylish.
Measurements: 14†wide by 6†high. The backplate has a footprint of 9 3/4†x 5 1/4â€.
Price: $295.00 complete and ready to go with a mounting kit...plus $25.00 for careful packing and shipping to addresses within the contiguous 48 states.

For Sale is a lovely vase made by Fratelli Toso (Murano) of Italy. This Handkerchief Vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 3 " (76.20 mm) tall and is 3 1/2" (88.90 mm) in diameter at its widest point.
The Vase displays a squat form with a 7 ruffled top that is even or level at the top border. This was known as "Fazzoletto" or (Handkerchief) shaped. It is further decorated with vertical Pink and White Latticino Ribbon decoration that comes out from the Pontil underneath and rises to the top even border. These ribbons wrap around each other and look like a chain link. This strongly resembles Ribbon Candy. There is also a metallic speckled gold ribbon that divides each chain link shape ribbon and this is known as "Adventurine". This is right in the middle of each ribbon and was very hard to capture with my camera.
The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is a small Pontil Scar on the bottom. The Vase is not signed but the decoration is a well documented decor by Fratelli Toso (Murano) Italy done during the Mid Century Era. More than likely this had a paper label at one time. This Italian Art Glass Vase was made Circa 1950-1959.
I was told by an Italian Glass expert this Style Vase is often Confused as being made by Venini. The difference between them is the way the top of the Vase is formed. The Venini Vases were pulled above the rim and not even like the Fratelli Toso ones. The Fratelli Toso are much Rarer than the Venini ones. « Less

For Sale is a lovely piece of Art Glass made by Wilhelm Kralik Sohn of Eleonorenhain Bohmen (Bohemia). This is now the modern day "Czech Republic". The Vase is an Optic Ribbed Vase with Applied Decorations. The Vase is a nice cabinet size as it measures approximately 3 3/8" tall, 4 3/4" in diameter from the outside of the applied Fruit Decoration. The bottom of the Vase measures 2" in diameter.
The Vase displays a squat round shape with a raised neck. It has a lovely style of art glass similar to Steuben's Verre de Soie or Glass of silk base glass. It has Optic Vertical Ribbing throughout. On one side are Two elongated Grapes or Plums fused to the surface of the Glass with Green Leaves and stems. The Plums or Grapes are done is a deep Purple Iridescent glass with the leaves showing detailed veins in the leaves. You can actually feel the grooves in the leaves and these are done in a Green Iridescence. The base glass has soft white to clear iridescent finish. The colors are just superb as you can see strong fuchsia throughout.
This Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. The Vase has a polished top rim and no pontil mark on the bottom. This means the vase was blown from the top and cut from the blowing pipe at the top of the neck and then polished. This was quite common with the Bohemian Glass blowers of the day. The Vase is unsigned but the shape and decoration can be documented at the on-line Kralik Glass Website. This Pattern Line was simply known as "Applied Fruit"
http://www.kralik-glass.com/frametemplate.html Click on Link to the left then click on Kralik Visual Index "A-M". Scroll down towards the right side 2nd from end and you will see this pattern "Applied Fruit". Click on it and it will open to show you the same shape.
This Vase would make lovely addition to any Art Deco or Art Nouveau Art glass Collection. This vase was made circa 1905-1920. « Less

For Sale is a beautiful piece of Art Glass made by Mont Joye of Paris, France. There are beautiful Enameled Pansies on a base glass of Amethyst to Clear. The Vase is very tall as it stands 11 3/4" tall and is approximately 4 7/8" in diameter at the base. The opening at the top of the vase is 3" outside diameter.
The Vase depicts wonderful enameling of multi-colored Pansies. There is Off White to Yellow, Solid Yellow, Lilac Purple to deep Purple accented with Yellow Pansies in full bloom. The detail in the enameling is outstanding. You can see the Pistils in three of the four opened blooms. There are also Two Lily Buds just to the left of the top two blooming flowers and 2 Buds to the right corner of the bottom Blooms. There are also sprigs of ferns in the background painted in Gold that give the artwork a wispy feeling of Spring in the air. There are also leaves with nice shading of Greens and Blue Greens throughout the pattern. These leaves are outlined in Gold. The pattern is predominately on one side of the Vase. The Mottled Gold Enameling along the top Border finishes this piece exquisitely.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is very minor gold enamel loss around the top rim as you can see that most of it is there. The beauty is in the Color and Enameling of the Vase. The Vase is signed in with the letter "P" in Red and the number "5" or the letter "S" in green. This is probably the artist or finishers mark. This Vase also has a countersunk polished pontil. This is the sign of quality piece of art glass. This Pattern is also hard to find. You commonly find the Iris and Lily but rarely find the Pansy Pattern.
This is a brief History of Mont Joye Glass.
Glass bearing the name «deVez», «Mont Joye», and «Pantin» was produced by the same company. E. S. Monot at La Villette near Paris founded this company in 1850. In 1859, known as «Cristallerie de La Villette» the company was transferred to Pantin, at that time a suburb of Paris and now a part of Paris. After F. Stumpf joined the company in 1868 it became «Monot & Stumpf». In 1873 Monot's son joined the company and the name changed to «Monot, Pere et Fils et Stumpf». About 1894 the company became known as the «Stumpf, Touvier, Violette & Cooye,» and the same company produced «Pantin». After WW1 merged with Legras & Cie.
This is an extremely large Mont Joye Vase. You commonly find 6-8" Versions and sometimes you can find 10" ones. It is considered somewhat Rare to find one that is almost 12" tall. It was very common for these tall vases to get knocked over and broken. This one is NOT!! This Vase is in amazingly Great Shape for being 100+ years old.
Mont Joye enameled glass was produced at the turn of the Century. It was extremely popular both in Europe and North America. This is an extremely large Mont Joye Vase. This type glass was of high quality and became very desirable among Fine Glass Collectors. This Vase was made Circa 1900-1915. « Less

For Sale is a beautiful piece of art glass made by the Moser Glass works Company of Karlsbad, Austria. The form is a Wheel Cut and Gold Gilded Cabinet Vase. The Vase has a petite size to it as it stands 3 3/8" tall and is 3 1/4" in diameter. The top opening is roughly 1 1/2" in diameter outside measurement.
The Vase has a bulbous bottom with an elongated neck with applied handles. The vase has a wonderful and beautiful Amethyst Colored Neck that was blown off of a clear body background glass. It has 3 applied handles that somewhat resemble twigs. The Vase is further decorated with wonderful wheel cut art nouveau flowers. There appears to be 3 different flowers. One of the flowers looks like a Lily, another like a Tulip and the last one like a Wild Rose. The details in the flowers and leaves is outstanding as you can see detailed veining and the folds and creases in the flowers. To finish and add some color to this vase the raised Twig Style branches have been Gold Gilded along with the top lip and along the exterior edge of the lip.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There is some Gold Gilding loss especially to the flat top lip as pictured. The other areas are marginal. One could have this re-gilded if they wanted to. There are several scratches on the bottom flat side and is typical on clear crystal glass with age. The piece is not signed and more than likely had a paper label at one time.
This is a Quality and Lovely piece of art glass and would be a wonderful addition to ones art glass collection. I'm quite sure the lucky buyer will not be disappointed with the purchase of this vase. This Vase was made Circa 1880-1900. « Less
