Early 20th century genuine shell cameo ring. The mount is 9ct gold, hallmarked for Chester (England) 1917. Ring face measures 10 mm by 8.5 mm (3/8 inch by 5/16 inch). Pretty split shoulder detail to the mount. Maker's mark is P & S. The face is smoothed somewhat by the years, but there is no damage. Ring size is English Q (USA size 8) with an internal diameter of 18.19 mm. « Less

Powder horn, unusual item - looks like a powder flask for a musket, and has a belt hook for a horseman. Heavy metal, with appearance of bronze, or maybe patinated brass. Not sure how you actually get the powder into it though, as the only opening is the narrow end for loading. It has Arabic script on it, and several other Middle Eastern motifs. Hinged cap holds in place by gravity when worn with the hook. Lever to open. Will leave the collectors to decide whether this is the real thing or not. Measures about 16 cm wide and 2.5 cm thick at the thickest part (6.1/4 inches by 1 inch). « Less

Ring face measures 16 mm wide and 3.5 mm deep (5/8 inches by 1/8 inch). Stamped 9 ct inside band. Ring size is English O (USA size ) with an internal diameter of 17.35 mm. It has its own little porcelain snuffer, which sits over a match holder. The little match holder has incised sides, so you can light a wax vesta match against it. Everything the Edwardian lady needed to visit the plumbing during the night. Underneath is incised 'Registered", however I think this is of European make, made for the export trade. Item measures 6 cm high by 15.5 cm front to back by 15.25 cm wide (approx. 2.3/8 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches). It has a small bruise/chip on side rim, otherwise excellent condition. Beautiful late Victorian/Edwardian period small lidded barrel - for biscuits or maybe chocolates would be preferable. The barrel has an etched middle section bordered top and bottom by small hobnail crystal. Small bands of cut vertical lines make up the very top and bottom edges. Starburst cut into the base of the barrel. The lid and swing handle are silver plated, the lid having a striped design. With the handle folded down, it measures 13 cm high, and 8.5 cm diameter (5 inches by 3.5/16 inch). Very good condition. « Less
