Incolay Studio Love Sonnet of Shakespeare Plate "Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Day" ca 1987. This plate is the first in The Love Sonnets of Shakespeare series of collectors plates; "You Shall Shine More Bright" . Included with the plate is a beautiful copy of the sonnet that inspired this plate. The plate is crafted in the enduring medium of Incolay Stone cameo and was sculptured by Roger Akers and issued in 1987. This is my favorite of the collection with incredible detail in the cherubs, the tiny rose our lovely young lady is holding and the detail of the couple themselves. The top of the vases adorned with raised jewel pattern. Marked underneath: "Imperial Nippon, Hand Painted".
