The top lip curls in and is 9 3/4" in diameter.
The Console Bowl depicts twigs of Apple Blossoms in Full Bloom on both sides. There are 2 twig style handles on each side to complete this naturalistic look. The background on this very Lovely Bowl is a subtle Salmon Pink with the Blossoms in a creamy white with soft green leaves. The pattern is some what repeated on both sides of the bowl. They are not exactly the same with both showing unopened flower buds.
The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips. The only issue to report is some crazing and a pencil tip glaze nick on one of the lobes and this is pictured. Crazing is common with this pattern and in all its glaze colors as well. There is also a small letter "x" and a large letter "P" with a dash written in a Blue Grease Pencil. For Sale is a nice piece of art pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Jonquil" and the shape is a Double Handled Squat Vase. The Vase measures is a nice cabinet size as it stands 3" tall and is 7" in diameter outside handles measurement.
The Vase depicts two bunches per side of three Jonquil Daffodils with yellow centers on a squat volcano shape. Each of them are embossed above tall green leaves on a mottled light Brown organic like background. There is darker brown shading around the flowers, rims and handles. This is truly a beautiful pattern and a unique shape produced by Roseville Pottery.
The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no issues to report. The piece is unsigned as is the case with this pattern as most of them carried paper labels at one time. This Vase is known as shape number 523-3" in the Roseville Pottery Catalog pages. Guaranteed to be original and in excellent shape free of nicks, chips, and hairlines.
This is a hard to find shape in this pattern. This Vase was made Circa 1931. « Less

The Vase displays a background of horizontal and vertical wavy ridges with a 2 color Glaze background. The Coral/Pink starts at the top of the Vase and changes at the bottom to a Deep Moss Green. For Sale is a lovely piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Pinecone" and it is done in their highly collected More »
For Sale is a lovely piece of Art Pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Pinecone" and it is done in their highly collected and most Popular Blue background glaze. This Pattern is one of Roseville's most desirable to collect. The Jardiniere stands 4 1/8" tall and is 6 3/8" in diameter outside handles measurement. The inside rim of the Jardiniere measurements are 4 1/8" in diameter.
The Jardiniere has a very pleasing Blue to speckled white background Glaze with the Background behind the Pine Needles being in the lighter speckled glaze. The piece depicts very realistic handles in the form of branches joined to a Pine Cone with Green Needles protruding from the Cone. The Pine Cone itself has very nice detail done in a light brown glaze color. The inside of the bowl is very clean and shows a tan to light brown glaze.
This was Frank Ferrell's most popular design that he ever created while working at The Roseville Pottery Company. In fact, the company would have had to close it doors if it wasn't for the success of this line. The Pinecone line was considered the most Popular Line ever made at Roseville Pottery and that is still evident today. There are 4 colors that Pinecone was made and they are Blue, Brown, and Green and Pink. Pink Commands the Highest Price and is Rarely seen. Blue Commands the next highest price with Brown and Green not too far behind.
The Jardiniere is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks nicks, chips or dings. The Vase is signed with the incised "Roseville" mark along with the pattern number 632-4" which is also incised. There is also a number 6 and large letter T lighting incised below the mold number. There is also the letter "N" or the number "2" depending how you look at it on the bottom. This is written in a blue glaze or grease pencil. More than likely this was the finishers number or Artist Initial.
This is a quality piece of art pottery that will be a wonderful addition to any art pottery collection, especially those of you who collect Roseville Blue Pinecone. This Vase was made Circa 1935-1940. « Less

For Sale is a lovely Art Pottery Vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Pinecone" and it is done in their highly collected Brown background glaze. This Pattern is one of Roseville's most desirable to collect. The Vase is a nice size as it stands 7 5/16" tall and is 4 1/8" in diameter outside handles measurement. The top opening is 3 1/8" outside measurements.
The Vase has a very pleasing Caramel Brown background Glaze with the background below the Pine Needles being a lighter yellow brown color. The piece depicts very realistic handles in the form of branches joined to a Pine Cone with Brown/Green Needles protruding from the Cone. The Pine Cone itself has very nice detail done in a light brown glaze color. The inside of the Vase is very clean and shows a blue green top opening glaze with a medium to light brown glaze underneath that reaching down to the bottom. The foot has a very "Futura" or futuristic style to it.
This was Frank Ferrell's most popular design that he ever created while working at The Roseville Pottery Company. In fact, the company would have had to close it doors if it wasn't for the success of this line. The Pine Cone line was considered the most Popular Line ever made at Roseville Pottery and that is still evident today. There are 4 colors that Pine Cone was made and they are Blue, Brown, and Green and Pink. Pink Commands the Highest Price and is Rarely seen. Blue Commands the next highest price with Brown not too far behind.
The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks nicks, chips or dings. This is really an excellent example as there isn't even a pin pop in the glaze. The Vase is signed with the "Roseville" incised mark along with the pattern number "840-7". There is the number "7" or the letter "L" depending how you look at it on the bottom. This is written in a dark blue grease pencil. More than likely this was the finishers number or Artist Initial. There is also the number "838" written in a red grease pencil. This was the way Roseville marked their pieces with the form number on items that did not carry a signature mark or only had a foil label. This is an oddity and mistake as the form number is actually a 840-7".
This is a hard to find vase in the Roseville Pinecone line. I'm quite sure the buyer will be quite pleased with their purchase. This Vase was made Circa 1935-40. « Less

For sale is a lovely Art Pottery vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Teasel" and it is done in their highly collected two toned tan/brown background Glaze. This Pattern is one of Roseville's harder to find to collect. The shape is known as a "Rose Bowl" and it stands 4" tall and is 7 1/4" in diameter outside handles measurement. The inside rim of the Rose Bowl is 2 7/8" in diameter.
The Rose Bowl has a very pleasing Tan background glaze with a Caramel Brown foot and lower 1/3 of the bowl. The pattern depicts a pointed weed looking Teasel on long stems. This pattern is on both sides with one side having 2 teasels and the other side only having one. The Bowl has 2 applied closed handles that resemble ears. The inside of the bowl is very clean and shows a light tan glaze.
The Rose Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks nicks, chips or dings. There are a few minor glaze pops in the glaze. The Rose Bowl is signed on the bottom with the incised "Roseville" cipher along with the pattern number "342-4". You do not commonly find this pattern in the North East and leads me to believe that this pattern is somewhat rare. This Rose Bowl was made Circa 1938. « Less
