This is a splendid pair of antique Tudor single-arm sconces with their original snuffer shades, dating from the 1920’s. The sconces feature a hammered backplate with a striking shape. The shade features a hammered volute loop at the top, and a crimped border below; the shade is supported by the sconce arm, which runs from the top of the sconce to the bottom, fastened with two hammered brackets to the backplate. The arm comes outward in an L shape to hold the bobeche, which has a waved edge and a spike finial underneath. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 5 ½” wide, 13” tall, and have a projection of 6 ½”. These would be a handsome addition to any Tudor, Spanish Revival, or Gothic décor. NSP490-RW   « Less

This is a beautiful pair of antique double-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s, in their original silver plate over pewter. Made and signed by Lincoln Company, the sconces are crowned with silver plated floral and foliate detail, with a sunburst adorning the backplate. Leaf and volute detail at the bottom of each sconce blends into a sconce arm, which supports a beautifully detailed bobeche ornamented with flowers and leaves. Above each light is a shade formed of icicle prisms, hanging from a ring ornamented with the same decorative detail found on the bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with a beautifully aged finish; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces feature a convex oval backplate with a scalloped border. An arm receiver bowl accented with a silver plated finial supports two smooth sconce arms. Each arm supports a gadrooned glass bobeche hung with two elegant, hand-pulled prisms. The sconce finishes in a volute loop. This is a striking pair of antique double-arm sconces made of iron and brass, dating from the 1920’s. The sconces feature a simple brass backplate with an arch at the top and bottom, accented by a bold black border. An iron arm, ornamented with leaf detail, runs across the backplate and curls at the ends to hold foliate bobeches with acorn finials.
