Around2600BCE,mostsitesinnorthernandcentral Baluchistanwereabandoned,asaconsequenceoftheexpansionofthe Indus Civilisationsouthern Baluchistancontinued tobeinhabitedbyapeoplelabelled"Kulli."Thisculturalcomplexisnamedafterasitein Kolwa,discoveredby Aurel Stein.Sincethen,severalothersitesbecameknownfrom Makranosouthern Kalatand Nindowari,to Nausharointhe Kachiplain,andtotheeasternfootofthe Kirthar Rangeinsouthwestern Sindh.Somemotifsandvesselshapesfoundinsoutheastern Iran and on the Arabian Peninsula, are sometimes also linked to the Kulli and seen as indications for long-distance contacts.
