Rare Early 19th C American Folk Art Drawing Of ''The Castleton Seminary'' By A Student Of James Hope Who Was The Drawing Teacher At The School. This Student Assignment Was Executed On British Hallmark Sealed Paper Sent From England. We Know That It Was A Class Assignment Due To A Couple Of Others Done At The Same Time That Have Survived By Different Students Of James Hope. This Signed Work By Student Attended Castleton Seminary For Two Years (Circa: 1832-1834.) She Is Recorded In The Attendence Records At The College At That Time. The Work Is In Its Original Gold Leaf Shadow Box Frame Which Someone Covered Over Later With Black Paint. Surviving Under Its Original Glass It Is In A Superb State Of Preservation.
