Old silver plated English meat/turkey domes were once cut in half and attached to backing plates to form beautiful wall decorations that could hold water and display lush floral arrangements. Dried floral displays were also used. The result is a definitive stylistic statement that enhances any wall, especially ones where furniture placements are limited. The dimensions of this unit are 19 7/8†wide and 15†for the overall height of the backing. The bowl itself has a height of 7 7/8†and a depth at its widest point of 7 3/8â€.

A larger than normal two panel wall sconce. The sconce has a little age to it...say 30 or so years old. The detail of the castings are precision because they are made with a very large die cast machine. Being manufacturers ourselves, we recognize the method. The brass plating is nicely aged for that look. We bought the contents of a theatre from a demo contractor and ended up with 20 of these beauties. Here are the first two.
The cut glass panels are simply amazing. Yes, cut glass...not pressed. You change the light bulbs by sliding one glass panel up to reveal the socket. The top and bottom are open for heat dissipation to protect the glass. You cannot see these openings since the top and bottom decor go way past them.
Electrical: The fixture has been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Inside the case, there is a double socket that takes two normal everyday medium base bulbs. We recommend tubular desk lamp bulbs called T10’s and we will supply these for each sconce purchased. The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied.
All in all, a very unusual and nice American made sconce.
Measurements: 21 3/4†tall by 8 3/8†wide. Projects into a room from the wall a mere 5â€
2 of these sconces are currently available.
Each sconce is $478.50 plus careful shipping. « Less

Pair of gorgeous antique Art Deco slipper shade sconces, dating from the early 1900s. These sconces are crowned by a ziggurat stair-stepping design, with triangle and scrolling details. Below, the glass shade is inserted into the backplate at a V-shaped opening. The original glass slip shade features vertical ribbed details and wavy horizontal lines. Around each shade, the sconces feature decorative scrolls and foliate details. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. The sconces have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 4-5/8†wide, 10-3/4" tall, and project 5-1/2†from the wall. A second pair of matching sconces also available; please contact us for more details.

What a nice pair of turn of the century sconces this is!
Those original antique shades are simply works of art by themselves. The shades were pressed into a mold for the pattern. Then the ruby tipped edges were then applied. The amber and ruby glass combination is very attractive.
The backplates are pewter finish and have a switch installed at the very bottom which was renewed when the sconces were re-wired with new sockets and wiring.

Set of FOUR Williamson/Beardslee sconces with lovely poly-chrome original coloring. Beardslee bought Williamson during the depression and during the name switch-over, you can find sconces and chandeliers with both names put into the castings. Circa 1930s, the frame was cast and artists hand painted the remarkable variation of poly-chrome colors. The basic background color is a coppery-bronze. Accent colors for the designs includes accents of green and pink. Really quite attractive.

The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all-thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied. Off/on rotary switch has been replaced with an identical one that Williamson/Beardslee used. It can be seen below the shade.

Measurements: 11" tall by 6" wide and projects into the room from the wall 5".

Circa 1930's, the cast sconces have an interesting deco design on the fitter with some streamline touches on the backplates. The shades are two colors with a clear beaded edge at the top and another clear beaded edge where it goes into the fitter. The shade center is more white than a yellow. We attribute any yellow color to the light bulb.
Electrical: These sconces have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal bakelite sockets for everyday medium base bulbs with a switch have been installed in each. The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied.
A pair of very nice pair of American made sconces.
Measurements: 10" tall. The shade has a maximum diameter of 5 7/8" while the round part of the backplate has a diameter of 4 1/2". Projects into a room from the wall at 7".

Circa 1930's, these sconces are showing a nice contrast between black and pewter color with nickel plated fitters and mounting nut. That ball finial below the shade is actually the switch for turning the sconce on and off. Nicely disguised as decoration, it is functional.

The sconce mounts with one normal sconce mounting all-thread to a normal electrical box from within the case. All mounting hardware will be supplied.
