This is a delightful antique iron pendant light, dating from the 1920’s, with opalescent glass. The lantern begins with a foliate canopy ornamented with a bead pattern and a leaf-and-dart border, and comes down in a chain to a draped loop finial. Below, the four-sided lantern features a beautiful volute design over the glass. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We know that poppies usually have rounded petals and tulips pointed petals but since these flowers are in the bud stage we can't decide if it is a poppy or a tulip. Measures 3 1/2" high x 1 3/4" wide with good relief. Note detail image next to quarter for size (quarter not included). Weighs approximately .475 troy oz. overall.
