True high-end quality original cast iron frames with a lovely reddish bronzed finish. Circa 1930. These Art Deco Slip Shade sconces were the only sconces made for this series of slip shade lights. It is difficult to cast reticulated backplates as any casting man will tell you. The bronzed finish is simply superb. This fixture is in oh-so-near mint condition. The shades too are simply in fantastic condition. Measuring 12" tall with a width of 5 1/4", they project into a room (from the wall) a mere 4 3/4". These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20's...and still made up to ONE year ago. The backplate features an allover texture with stylized leaves, and the arms connect smoothly to the backplate in a curved design with streamlining. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The switch on one sconce has a different placement from the others; this was the original design. The sconces are 8” tall, 6-3/4” wide, and project 2-3/4” from the wall. A wonderful antique cast iron single-arm sconce in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. This sconce was featured in an antique Moe-Bridges lighting catalog as shown, and Moe-Bridges observes, “The vogue toward Bracket Lights is becoming more pronounced.” And we can see why – it’s quite a delightful design. The sconce is crowned with a stylized red fleur-de-lis, with vines and flowers below. An oval torsade border surrounds the wrought iron sconce arm, which projects from the center of the sconce to support a double-tier foliate bobeche in autumn colors. This wall lamp is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switch for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace it with a new one if desired. These single-arm sconces each feature a round white porcelain backplate with chrome stripes and horizontal ribbing. The porcelain bobeches have the same stripe and ribbing details. These wall lamps would be fabulous for use over a bathroom mirror, especially with the working electrical outlets located on the underside of each arm extension. An unusual pair of antique swing-arm industrial sconces in their original nickel finish, fitted with white enamel shades. We found the sconces in St. Louis, and they date from the early 1900s. These feature a simple round backplate with an adjustable jointed arm, ending in a simple shade holder with a shallow white shade. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition with a beautifully aged finish; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. When set straight out with the joints at right angles, the sconces measure 10” tall (without bulb), 10-1/4” wide, and project 16”. Fabulous pair of antique two-arm sconces, dating from the early 1900s. These Neoclassical sconces are crowned by an urn and swag adornment, moving down to a shield-shaped backplate. The hammered-texture backplate features floral, foliate, and rope details, with draped festoon near the base. The two sconce arms have flower and leaf embellishments, each supporting a decorative bobeche. The sconces finish in three final bellflower finials.
