We have for sale an extra nice antique china cabinet or bookcase. The cabinet has glass sides and one big glass door. The glass is old and has the wavey look. There are glass shelve's. There is a drawer under the door for storage. The side trim has great detail pattern that is follow through on top. There is a shelf on top of the cabinet. We do not know the maker. There is a label on the back and on the front. It is not in English. It appears to be from Europe. The overall height is 69 inches by 42 3/4 inches long by 17 inches wide and weighs 137 pounds. We have for sale an antique china cabinet. The cabinet has a wide lead glass door that opens to 4 wood shelves. The back has two mirrors. The shelves can be used on either side. One side of the shelves has a beveled edge where as the other side has two grooves for plates to set in. The china cabinet has curve glass sides. The legs are claw feet. The lead glass is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The mirrors and the glass sides has no chips or cracks. There is one place on top that shows a blister in the veneer and there is a surface crack on the trim above the leg. The cabinet is solid and sturdy. For the age of the cabinet it is near mint condition. It dates to the late 1800's. It stands 64 1/2 inches tall by 47 1/2 inches wide and 18 1/4 inches thick and weighs 126 pounds. This is an incredible and beautifully patinaed Bierdermeier Cabinet made by the first quarter of the 19th century and originally coming from Vienna (Austria) and combining different type of woods from maple to walnut and mahogany. This breathtaking item is mounted by an upper section topped by arched acanthus shaped cornice standing upon the step-front façade featuring 3 cabinets hidden by 3 recessed doors accented with interlaced floral and acanthus moldings. The central cabinet was originally used as a bar and provides rack to hold liquor glasses. The very interesting part comes with the bottom section providing a C-scrolled top revealing a wide slide-out writing area with an arrangement of small storage compartments and cubbyholes above 2 large and deep drawers. Note that minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Hardware is in original condition, except for the keys mounting both bottom drawers. Circa date 1820. Large, old antique display cabinet perfect for a Cabinet of Curiosities, dark ebonized wood, highly carved with Cornucopia designs. c. 1800's. Measures 82" tall x 47" wide x 18" deep. One pane of glass is missing in the upper side right corner, that is where an antique lamp could be brought in for mood lighting or you could have the glass replaced. Spectacular case, hardware to lock it has been added at the top in case you need it for a store display. Due to the antique nature and size of this special item, it would be best to make arrangements to have it picked up at the shop rather than shipping it.   « Less

Offered for Sale: Gorgeous Georgian Mahogany Flat Front Corner Cabinet. The two paneled chamfered edge cabinet is beautiful in its simplicity. The piece is veneered in high quality mahogany with lovely flame figuring. Whether this is a stand alone wall mounted cabinet or if it sat on a base is undetermined. I am uncertain of the age as I am not an expert but the construction and design appear to be of the period and the nails used are hand wrought. The cabinet has reeded edge trim both top and bottom. The shelves are detailed with a cleft design and the edges have been painted black. Condition: There are a few condition problems given the age of the cabinet as shown in the photos. There are a few veneer pops, the lock has been removed, and there is a notch out of the bottom shelf. The foundation wood is probably pine and is rough cut. The brass hinges appear to have been replaced and it's probably been refinished but when this occurred is unknown.
