Impressive Derby vase with blue ground, of classical form with two dragons rising up the sides towards an eagle on the finial, the top with well modeled swags of flowers pendant to the dragons mouths, a lions head modeled to the waist, well embellished with tooled gold throughout.
Modeled by the famous contemporary sculptor John Bacon (R.A.)
Circa 1770-75

Extravagant Bow guglet (water vessel) of elegant ovoid form with tall flared lip, well painted to both sides with a large group of exotic birds amongst foliage, within well modelled encrusted flower garlands that twist down from the flower head moulded lip.

References: This vessel is basically a Guglet water vessel, to be used for washing hands along with a bowl; however the encrusted trails of flowers make this an impossible prospect, rendering the function obsolete!

Creamware bough pot, of flared half circle form, the sides moulded with basketweave picked out in yellow, framed by a moulded rope twist picked out in turquoise, a central medallion with print in puce of a hay wagon in the countryside, within a wide turquoise frame, the lower portion arcaded and enamelled in brown, the upper with a classical leaf motif beneath a wide brown rim, the original pierced liner with matching border.
