Pair of antique single-arm sconces with original wheel-cut glass shades, dating from the early 1900's. Each sconce features a round backplate with ropework and gadrooned details. The sconce arm extends straight out and two interlocking rings below support a gadrooned shade holder. On the shade holder is the fixture's original working switch. The glass shades below are hand-cut and feature a gorgeous floral and foliate design. The wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass shades are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected flea bites around the rims. The sconces measure 4 7/8" wide, 12" tall and project 7 1/4" from the wall. These double-arm Spanish Revival sconces feature a hammered, shield-shaped backplate with acanthus accents. The center of the backplate features a rearing horse with a knight in armor. Each sconce arm is ornamented with a crest and a crenelated bobeche above. Charming antique Arts & Crafts sconce, c. 1910, with original slag glass. The light fixture's circular cast iron backplate has beaded trim with a scrolling arm that extends up and attaches to the roof of the lantern body. The body is composed of four panels of beautiful amber slag glass, accented at the corners with florets. A curved, V-shaped iron band, fastened at the ends with florets, crosses each panel near the top of the lantern. This light fixture is in very good antique condition with a few small dings in the roof. The glass has no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected flea bites around the rim. The wall mount lantern has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture measures 6" wide, 9-1/2" tall, and projects 8" from the wall. These nickel-plated bronze sconces begin with a fleur-de-lis at the top, followed by a quatrefoil and a hammered shield design. A semi-circular band, connected at the sides, wraps around the front of the sconce to hold a crenelated, nickel bobeche with quatrefoil and diamond cutouts.
