A lovely 19th Century French needlepoint chair in the Louis XVI style. This chair features the original petit point floral upholstery covering the seat and the back. Also with the original painted patina and spring seat. In the traditional form of the period, having fluted legs and carved beading accents. The arms have a rounded curve to them. This is a great sturdy bench that was made by Bassett Furniture Co, Bassett, Virginia. It is 30 ¼” tall and side to side it is 27 ¼” and front to back it is 18 ¾” and weighs 18 lbs. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. This is a beautiful 1800's walnut parlor chair on steel rollers that is is really good condition. The chair has gorgeous wood with great lines and detail on the back and apron with very nice acorn carvings. The front legs have very nice feet and the rollers are only on the front legs. The back and the seat of the chair are upholstered in a gold velvet with matching trim.There is a split in the back support, and it looks like a little wood putty was used on one support on the right. There is also a split in the front right leg. We have shown all of this in the photographs. We do have two more which match if you are looking for a set.
