Antique Nepali silver portable talisman pendant Gao containing the image of Green Tara, probably dating to 18th-19th. century. This heavy silver container-like is decorated with rubies, sapphires, diamonds and semi-precious stones. The upper and lower part are made from gold. Interir is decorated with filigree silver and gold and is adorned with precious and semi-precious stones. Probably an unique prayer object of royal appearance and quality. Provenance: Dr. Mircea Veleanu's collection, the author of the reference book for collectors: "Tibetan artifacts". Additional digital photos available on request to the interested buyer. One bone chop stick has a chiseled silver apical end and the other is in shape of a hook. The scabbard is made from wood and decorated with chiseled silver in high relief featuring 2 facing dragons and tama, carnelian and turquoise. Edo period bronze mokko gata (4 lobes) tsuba decorated in high relief with hon zogan (inlay of precious metals in high relief). The obverse side features a grasshopper with silver and gold inlays, a butterfly with shakudo wings and gold body and antenna and a snail with silver and gold inlays. The reverse side features a grasshopper with silver and gold inlays and a spider with silver inlay. The kogai hitsu ana (the opening for kogai) and kozuka hitsu ana( opening for kazuka) were obturated with shakudo filler. Tsuba (Japanese swords hand guard) are one of the most important collecting item for the Japanese edged weapons collectors. For more information about tsuba and copious amount of tsuba illustrations, we recommend the reference book for collectors: Antique swords and daggers" by Mircea Veleanu, the director of Objets d'Art Uniques. Tsuba is the hand guard of the Japanese swords used by samurai as a currency payment when they needed to make a purchase and the most important collecting item for the Japanese edged weapons collectors. We have for sale an extra nice art deco bedroom suite for it's age. There is a standard full size bed, chest with 4 dove tail drawers, vanity dresser and bench.The mirror has an attractive etching design that sets it off. The drawers on the vanity are dove tail. It is light color mahogany with some burl finish on the head and foot board, chest and vanity. The bench has a pale blue frabic with no stains or tears. The bed, chest and vanity are on casters. It has it's original hardware. The bedroom furniture are all solid and sturdy. The set is from the 1930's or 40's although we do not know the exact date. The dresser is 71 1/8 inches tall by 46 3/4 inches long by 19 3/8 inches wide. The bench is 18 1/2 inches tall by 24 1/4 inches long by 14 3/8 inches wide. The chest is 44 inches tall by 31 1/2 inches long by 17 3/8 inches wide. The bed is 42 3/4 inches tall by 57 inches wide by 75 1/2 inches long. This will be shipped by UPS Freight. She measures 10-5/8 inches high, widest width 4-1/4 inches, diameter of base 3-1/4 inches. This is a rare signed and numbered bronze displaying the roundness, shapes, and motions shown on Art Deco sculptures. This is number 3 out of only 6 made circa 1915.
