Signed French Art Nouveau sculpture and onyx mantel clock with figures of 2 women and lovebirds. Late 19th century.Measurements: base is just under 14 1/2inches wide and 8 1/2inches high. Total height is 29inches.Beautiful marbled onyx in a soft almost luminous green. Gilt metal scrolling foliate mounts and highlights. Porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals and handpainted floral swag. Delicate gilt metal hands. The name of the firm is worn. Onyx has age ''cracks'', but they are only superficial and not damage of any sort.Delicate metal grille covers the clock''s movement at the back. See photos for details. The mechanism does work and chimes, but it needs a clean.The spelter figures of 2 women with lovebirds embody everything Art Nouveau. Graceful, romantic and sensuous. Partly clad - their dresses seem to emphasize the bodies underneath - indeed 1 breast is entirely bare. Great detail to pretty smiling faces, muscles and feathers of birds. 2 of the birds were professionally reattached. Pink glass divided bowl held in a gilt metal mount with figural mask feet and a nude figure of a woman on the handle.Measures 8 1/2inches high, 9inches accross at widest point and bowl is 7inches in diameter.Pink glass is divided into 3 sections and has starburst cut into the underside.The reticulated openwork gilt metal mount is further decorated by fine etching. Stands on 3 figural mask heads - each with open mouth and scrolling foliage. Extremely fine detail to faces. The Rococco handle, also in the form of scrolling foliage and vines supports a gilded nude figure of a woman, her hair swept up above her head, one hand outstretched as though to balance herself. Highly reminiscent of the hardstone figures made by Faberge 100 years ago. Early 20th century hand blown glass figure of a musician / trumpetplayer. Bohemian / Chechoslovakian. He is 8'' tall and the diameter of the base is 2 3/4''. Fantastic OLD glass with marvellous play of light. All handblown, handmade by a top artist craftsman. The base is green, much like a millifiori paperweight. Black shoes, grey trousers, yellow shirt, red scarf, high green hat and wonderful, wonderful features. The trumpet / horn appears to have had some kind of professional restoration, not visible to the eye, but has a slight roughness, near the hands, which are however, perfect. Wonderful bushy moustache and eyebrows. The detail is quite marvellous and the quality of glass exceptional. Enameled cabinet vase, Limoges France, 19th century.Measures 4 1/4inches high. Metal with bright blue enamel. A central reserve in front is formed by wonderfully gilded flowers and scrolls that stretch all the way around the vase. The Reserve has a background of light/sky blue and depicts two outstandingly painted cherubs/children, looking into a mirror. Delicate flowers and trees behind them.No signature/marks.The painting and gilding are in very good condition. The darker blue enamel ground appears to have been restored near the top, since the colour is darker, as clearly shown in the photos. Otherwise, no damage. Highest quality artistic talent: modeled as a kneeling sea nymphette, naked girl child figure, long wavy hair. A net, with fine detail draped over one knee. Chubby fingers support a cut glass dish. Complex floral, leaf and scroll cast hexagonal base. Fabulous detail to all parts of this wonderful centerpiece - from the rounded fleshy body to the fine details of the base and net and the wonderfully sweet face. Cut glass of the highest quality.
